Good tool October 30, 2009 Damon Shodrock (Westfield, IN) This is a good and handy tool. I will recommend it to other do-it-yourself mechanics.

Good quality. Does the job. Well oiled when first out of the package. Also since I couldn't find them at any of the three auto stores locally it was a good value.
simple, but effecitve May 2, 2009 Christopher D. Scott (Aurora, IL United States) I'm responsible for checking fleet vehicles' tires. This device is simple to use and gives you accurate enough info. My only wish would be to have a 'cap' or carrying case of some sort. this is not a big deal, it's just that the end of the measuring tool sticks out and gets snagged on things. Again, not a big deal. If you need a tool to help with checking tire tread depth, this is hard to beat for the price.
gauge February 20, 2009 mikey :-D It works and is very simple - helped me make the decision to buy new tires :-)
Does the job, but watch out, it's oily. February 18, 2009 TigerDave (Temecula, CA United States) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Received this item a few days after ordering. Simple and does the job. Just beware, as others mentioned, they apparently soak these in WD-40 before packaging and shipping, so they will be oily upon opening. Other than that, I see the price has gone up $1.50 in the past week. Not sure why.
