3 out of 5 stars flat line after leather cpr   November 24, 2009
Fali (Asuncion, Paraguay)
Maybe my expectations were too high, but I didn't get the results I expected after reading some reviews.
I used it for cleaning a nude color leather bag. General apearance was improved and the leather feels more conditioned, but no stain was removed. I found this product just as good as any saddle soap that costs much less.

5 out of 5 stars Hands-down best overall!   November 5, 2009
Alyssa Morgen-Gass (Charleston, SC)
I restore fine designer handbags & luggage - vintage and modern. I have used many, many leather products out there over the years, and I will say that Leather CPR is my go-to product...seriously, I panic if the tube is getting close to running out.

Its clean, appropriate for all colors, including white (do not put Lexol on light colors!) its non-toxic so you can rub it on with your hands, it conditions wonderfully, without a strange greasy or slick feel. I recently tested products on a black leather jacket with dry, faded arms. Leather CPR won hands-down for restoring the black color and the natural smooth feel.

Gliptone is my 2nd favorite leather conditioner, it smells amazing - but I only use Gliptone on darker bags and its more expensive - I wish it were found locally.

Lexol has its place, for sure - for darker colors with seriously dried out fibers (old luggage handles for example) but its oily, so you have to be really careful where you put it, and Lexol does darken leather permanently (because its basically oil) and Lexol smells awful!!

Overall, Leather CPR is my absolute first choice for the overall versatility, low cost, wonderful results and ease of purchasing!

5 out of 5 stars Best & Easiest Way to Clean Leather   October 23, 2009
Mary the Hunt (Chicago, IL)
This is the best leather cleaner I have ever used. I have used it on the leather upholstery in both my car, my home, on briefcase & boots. Really gives a nice sheen to the leather and seems to lubricate it if the leather has started to dry out. It is very easy to apply and you do not have to rub. The first time I tried this product, I bought the lotion. After reading reviews, I have to agree that the cream works better. Also be sure to follow the directions and use a sponge to apply, not a cloth rag. Restoration Hardware sells this in their own bottle for more $$. I intend to always keep this on hand.

1 out of 5 stars Didn't work for my purse   September 3, 2009

I bought this to clean some stains. I got in my brand-new white leather purse. It just didn't work. :(

4 out of 5 stars Better than Zymol   August 21, 2009
Squeaker (Georgia)
I purchased this along with the Zymol leather cleaner to clean some used leather furniture we purchased. The sofa is real leather with a wonderful look and feel, but it's similar to a baseball glove with very little sheen instead of the waterproof, polished looking leather of most leather furniture. Because of this, there are lots of little stains and scratches. The Zymol did not do a thing to clean the leather or remove stains. It only made the leather look very dry. I thought I had ruined it until I used the CPR. It made the leather look almost new, except that it did not remove the stains or scratches. No matter how hard I rub, the CPR doesn't seem to totally remove any stains or scratches, but it instead gives the leather a deeper-colored and conditioned look that distracts my eye from them.

CPR can be purchased at Walmart in 4 oz. tubes for 4.95. I found it on the cleaning isle next to the brass and silver cleaners.
