Owning a diesel truck you know they are hard to start in the winters. When the batteries are sitting a few days with out being used they drain. Now try to start that engine. Forget it. Well, thats the way it's been for years till we found this charger. simple to install under the hood, simple to connect to the batteries. Yes two of them. plug it and forget it. It has given us a peace of mind knowing the batteries are fully charged and ready to go every time my wife wants to use the truck to get grain for the animals. This and a plug heater makes for easy starts and warm engines in the winter. You won't be disappointed. This should come standard in every diesel truck.

I purchased 2 of these units recently to install on a 1079 280XZ 2+2 and a 1953 Ford Golden Jubliee NAA tractor. These units are out in the weather, and I needed a unit that would not be damaged by moisture. Easy to install, and operates as advertised.
I would purchase another in a minute if I needed one. I also have a battery tender on my motorcycle.

I bought the battery tender (waterproof) 800 to charge the starting battery on my boat. I have a dual bank Minkotta charger for my trolling motors and those batteries always seem to our last my starting battery by at least a year. After much research (and not wanting to invest alot of money), I decided to buy this unit. I mounted the unit to my boat (by the batteries) with the supplied screws and ring terminals. The supplied cables were plenty long enough and everything went smooth.
Without a constant charger on my boat I would have to charge my starting battery if I did not run it for longer than 2-3 months (especially durring the winter months) before I would take it out. Everything appears to be working well and only time will tell if it will hold up. If everything is fine in the spring time. This small investment will be well worth it. Will post back then.

Everybody with a riding lawnmower, motorcycle, car, etc. needs one of these...if they aren't using them weekly.
Keeping that unused battery charged will extend its life.
The Tender provides a small "trickle charge" and will not over charge (boil off the water)like your quick re-chargers will do.
Charge once a month and the riding lawnmower (or whatever) is ready to crank up in the spring.

good product. small. easy to use. mounted it in the engine compartment of my boat. Plug it in when i spend the night. Keeps the batteries charged. It is not a fast charger by no means, but it helps if you don't run the engine enough to charge the batteries.
