 Great and Affordable Product for Single cups November 27, 2009

I bought this product because my sister had one and I was so impressed with being able to easily brew just one cup. It also will help with my electric bill since it cuts off as soon as the coffee is brewed. I don't need the "keep warm" feature. Oh, yea...the coffee is great!! The permanent filter was a disappointment since the finer particles were left at the bottom of my cup. I use the Melita cone #1 filter which eliminated that problem. However, if the filter or its holder are not placed just right, you can get coffee grounds in your cup, or the hot water misses the filter hole and may splash everywhere but in your cup. This was an easy fix. I just have to pay attention to what I am doing when preparing my cup of coffee. NOTE: I did have difficulty finding the #1 size filter. Most places were sold out. I went to Amazon and was able to buy a case of 12 boxes (40ea) for about 3 cents each filter. Even with shipping that was a cheaper price that at the grocery store. I have no doubt that I will use each and every one!! I also have peace of mind that I won't run out anytime soon!!!

my husband used to drink 2 or 3 pots a day. then as he got older he had to slow down. Then he drank Half a pot and half a pot wasted. Now he only drinks one cup and sometimes another in the afternoon with the Black & Decker Brew 'n Go he can have one fresh hot cup of coffee when ever he wants it. And we didn't have to spend a fortune for an expensive machine that uses expensive little gourmet coffee pods.We love It

This little rascal allows me to get a pretty quick cup in my office. I don't have to worry about turning it off afterwards, either!
The convenience outweighs the need to dump the grounds and clean it. A set of filters would make that easier, though.

Great for one drinker per household. Perfect for my needs. Glad I got it, use it every day.
Pros: Brews very fast, very hot. No purchasing of filters. No pot, brews right into the drinking cup. Makes just the right amount.
Cons: Cup's external temp can be hot to the touch...but bearable for me.

Just what I needed to get my cup of coffee for my drive in to work! So easy I ordered another one for my husband to use at work! He used to make a full pot of coffee and then drink only one cup from it, wasting the rest! No more wasted coffee!
