What's the point of wasting paper when one of these will last almost forever ( and I think the coffee tastes better anyway)? In addition, when making a large pot - more than 8 cups - this coffee maker is prone to over-flowing when you use paper filters. The screen filter solves that problem. We wouldn't use anything else....

The filter allows sediment and coffee grounds to get into the coffee. It leaves the same in the bottom of the cup.

Great idea and great product! I now do not have to remember to purchase filters and this makes making coffee easy. I have used reusable filters for other coffee makers in the past and they last for years. I highly recommend it to everyone!

works great this the 2nd one I have owned. Last one lasted about 10 years. Just rinse it out and away you go. No waste I put the grinds around my Roses.
