| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The chef's knife is a kitchen staple, with a wide straight edged blade ideally suited to cutting and chopping fruits and vegetables, herbs, and so on. Some may find the 10" length too awkward and unwieldy, and for those people we recommend this slightly shorter knife. R. H. Forschner is a division of Swiss Army Brands, Inc, renowned for the Victorinox Swiss Army Knife. These knives are specially ground and tempered so that they can be resharpened over and over again, keeping a sharp edge throughout their lifetime. State of the art technology blended with old world craftsmanship produce cutting instruments of excellent quality, at reasonable prices. Forschner Victorinox Fibrox knives have earned high marks in a well-known cooking magazine which stringently tests kitchen products.

Professional knife at household price November 28, 2009 Baljinder Singh (Valencia, CA, USA) It's a great knife with a professional quality. Till now I am really happy with it. You can't get a better knife for such a low price.
Cooking 101-- Knife Skills November 28, 2009 T. Mcfarland (the woodlands, tx) We've been wanting to invest in a good chef's knife for awhile-- except for the part where they cost over $100. Then I got the most recent copy of Cooking 101 and it rated the Victorinox knife right up there with the "big boys"-- I was skeptical but at under $25.00 why not give it a shot? It's great... perfect for all types of chopping-- makes me feel like a pro and our knife sharpner guy says it will be easy to sharpen whenever that need arises.
great knife! November 19, 2009 Ginger O. (Berkeley, CA USA) how did I live without it? It has everything, for a reasonable price. I just ordered a second one.
perfect chef knife November 18, 2009 Whitney Mcevoy (santa rosa, CA) This is the 'go to' knife in a kitchen - light, sharp, great length for most tasks. Its truly the perfect all round knife for a cook.
very nice knife for a starter November 18, 2009 L. Yang 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this knife recently and I am very impressed with its sharpness. Now cutting is a joy and it cuts everything like butter. I also bought a Shun 6' chef's knife which costs more than 2 times of this one, but the feeling of cutting is similar. My only complain is this one doesn't last very long, we cook every day and it needs sharpening about every 2-3 months.
