2 out of 5 stars Good Start but poor finish   November 28, 2009

I got this about 2 years ago and was really pleased. The timer switch just died and after contacting the company about a replacement part they directed me to one of their authorized repair faciilities where it's cheaper to just buy a new one.

2 out of 5 stars No toast for this toaster   November 25, 2009
mums (usa)
Went through half a loaf of bread before I got a slice of toast the wasn't burned. The dial doesn't work so well for smaller increments required for toasting bread. Not very impressed with the construction methods used either, through the inside of the door I easily could see the glue that had been used to help secure the door handle. Looked a bit rough for a toaster oven of this price.

Have owned this item purchased from Amazon for nearly 3 years and it is still working perfectly. This gets used almost daily for a variety of items ranging from toast to chops and pizza. Would buy again.

4 out of 5 stars Love Lost   November 15, 2009
L. Mixson
On 8/11/2007 we purchased an Oster model 6058 6-slice Toaster Oven w/convection function baking. We have loved it and recomended it anytime we had the chance. I would have given it 5 stars, but yesterday,11/14/09 our toast didn't come out right. Turns out the bottom burner doesn't seem to be working. Called the Consumer Service and only got recordings. Did find out that the nearest repair/parts shop is over 100 miles away. OK, that's a long way away but just maybe they have a part they can send me. It can't be that hard to replace a burner, we used to do it ourselves on the big ovens. Well it is Saturday and I got no response at either number they gave me, not even a message. We started looking for a replacement. After all it only cost us about $60. when we got it and repairs and/or parts will cost something. Ours had Digital Function push points and none of those available today have that feature. A little concerned about that. Still, loved the appliance and hope I can find a solution to our loss. It still sits on the counter as a reminder of our lost love. L's wife

2 out of 5 stars Great start but burnt out in the end   November 8, 2009
A. K. Severinsen (Boston, MA)
After owning this toaster, I can't really recommend it... although it is stylish, roomy and worked well at first, after only 11 months one of the heating elements failed and it no longer cooks evenly.

Liked:
(1) Attractive look with black and chrome
(2) Large capacity for a toaster oven
(3) Timer shuts everything off, good safety and convenience
(4) Mechanical controls are nice (more reliable??)

Didn't like:
(1) Died after less than 1 year, heating element melted into the ceiling of the oven
(2) One dial for toast darkness and oven timer - so you get all of ¼" of turning the dial between light and burnt
(3) Takes a long time to make toast the first time, then once oven has warmed up can be easy to overtoast
(4) Easy to accidentally leave it in "Bake" mode and forget to put back into "Toast" mode- a dedicated toast button would be better
