5 out of 5 stars Brilliant!   November 8, 2009

I think TT & T's "Revival" is brilliant. I have always loved this CD and I had to buy it again!

4 out of 5 stars outstanding   September 21, 2008

Tony! Toni! Tone! Is a legendary group breaking group. The fusion of styles that pervade this album is what makes them memorable. They were able to work with other people and never lose their own groove. "It Never Rains in Southern California" is the type of ageless groove that will never go out of style.

4 out of 5 stars The Album That Made Me A Fan!   April 22, 2008
Ervin Griffin (Bluefield, WV)
Admittedly, I didn't know much about Tony, Toni, Tone until this album. I was once listening to an R & B radio station out of Greensboro, NC in 1990 and let me tell you, when I first heard "It Feels Good", I was hooked on them forever!

As for the album, it was one of their early albums and while not perfect, it had a lot of the sound that we would come to know in later years with stuff like "The Blues", "Oakland Stroke" with Vanessa Williams (yes THAT Vanessa Williams that used to be married to basketball star Rick Fox) and "The Sky." It produced two legendary slow jams in "It Never Rains (In Southern California)" and "Whatever You Want." It also has a fun track called "Those Were The Days" which is quite relevant today. While not meant to be a statement song, it almost could be with the way things are now in the world!

Anyway, it isn't quite a five star but its no worse than a three star CD. I am personally giving it a four. My personal recommendation is get all their original CD's to get the fullness of this timeless group!

5 out of 5 stars How they loved to groove.....   March 18, 2008
W. E. Jones (Silly City, DC)
What these guys did in such a short span for R&B lovers hopfully will not be lost to history. Compared to the lackluster, whimpy, whiney, non-dancable, non-singing crap that they try to call Neo-soul today, these guys were a blast of fresh air....

This is the continuing saga....

5 out of 5 stars Flexing Tonies.   June 22, 2003
Neyetro (Atlanta, GA (Austell))
The "Revival" is the album which the 'Tonies began to show off their artistic chops and completely broke-out, with an amazing four #1 hits (The Blues, Feels Good, Whatever You Want and It Never Rains in So Cal, resulting in undeniable success. It was with this release everyone back in '90 said, "damn, these boys can play...and their funky too!" So funky til you have a fresh Vanessa Williams singing on "Oakland Stroke", along with the 3Ts. In addition to the super hit jamz on this album, the slow jams (It Never Rains in Southern California;Whatever You Want; I Care; All My Love)were some of the best that year and are now 3Ts classics. Some of the tunes such as "All the Way" and "Sky's the Limit" may sound a bit dated now, but this was surely one of the best albums of 1990, and should now be considered a major gem in your R&B catalog.
