Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.com
The title doesn't lie, even if it does sounds like a hyperbolic pitch from an old late-night cable TV ad. With 36 tracks of various genres spread over two discs, Now That's What I Call Christmas might be the best, most eclectic "value-plus" holiday record ever released, assuming your tastes embrace crooners such as Cole, Crosby, and Como, plus contemporary boy bands such as Boyz II Men, as well as the ubiquitous Britney Spears.

In between there are the sumptuous classics by Bobby Helms, Brenda Lee, the Beach Boys, Elvis, and Burl Ives on disc one, balanced on disc two by more recent standards, including Bruce Springsteen's live version of "Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town" and John and Yoko's "Happy Xmas (War is Over)." You're not obligated to like everything here, but that's why Santa invented the forward button on your CD player. --Martin Keller

5 out of 5 stars All the great holiday hits in a double CD set   October 29, 2009
Michael Ceciliani (New York City)
This set came out in 2001, right after the tragic events of September 11 that year. People needed something to cheer them up for the holidays that year. This CD set was the answer. I know and like every song on the first CD. There's a few cuts on the second CD that I personally don't care for, but overall, this CD set is what the doctor ordered to cure the holiday blues. This CD set always gets played in my house during the holidays. Make sure it gets played in your house too.

5 out of 5 stars The Best of the Best!   June 26, 2009
S. Kelley (Wisconsin)
This Christmas CD is fulllll of the best Christmas songs by the best artists! It makes a great gift for YOU, as well as others on your list! I played it over and over during the holiday season and it'll be the first CD I get out to play when I see the first snowflake in November!!!

2 out of 5 stars product incomplete   May 1, 2009
Michael J. Bargas (Costa Mesa, CA)
CD was sent incomplete. I only received one of the two Cd's it was supposed to come with. What a disappointment. There was no mention that I was only receiving one of the two CD's.

5 out of 5 stars First order was lost, but Amazon made up for it quickly   January 22, 2009

This CD is fantastic. I ordered it through Amazon, and when it didn't come after a week or so, I called Amazon to see what had happened. It had been lost in transit, so they sent it to me with rush delivery. I love Amazon.com!
