Album Description THE E.N.D. (Energy Never Dies) The new album by The Black Eyed Peas is off to a blazing start! The first single from The E.N.D. (Energy Never Dies), BOOM BOOM POW was also the Peas' very first #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart! With The E.N.D., The Peas are poised to continue with the success of Elephunk and their fourth release Monkey Business - they have had multiple hit anthems, such as "My Humps" "Pump It" and "Let's Get It Started" along with "Don't Phunk With My Heart" "Where is the Love?" and "Don't Lie". In the midst of the success of the Black Eyed Peas, FERGIE released her debut solo album, The Dutchess, in 2006. To date the album has sold over six million copies worldwide and spanned five Top 5 hits. Moreover, Fergie became the first female artist in history to have four consecutive #1 singles (Billboard). Will.i.am is also a Grammy nominated producer - nominated for the Producer of The Year Award in 2007 and nominated again at the 2009 Grammy's. He has lent his services to some of the biggest superstars in the business; Fergie, The Pussycat Dolls, John Legend, Mary J. Blige, Ricky Martin, Justin Timberlake, Diddy, Nas, Michael Jackson, Usher, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, and U2. Besides his music endeavors, will.i.am is committed to social activism and is an outspoken advocate of progressive political initiatives. His "Yes We Can" video won an EMMY and a Webby Award and has over 19 million views on YouTube to date. The Black Eyed Peas have sold over 20 million albums worldwide, have won three Grammy awards and have been nominated for 11 total as well as awards won at Teen Choice, MTV, American Music Awards, among many others from around the world!
Album Description 2009 album from the three-time Grammy Award-winning, multi-platinum selling R&B act. With worldwide sales in excess of 26 million units and a total of 11 Grammy Award nominations, The Black Eyed Peas are one of the world's most successful recording groups. Founded by will.i.am, apl.de.ap and Taboo, the band invited Fergie to join the line-up and broke through in with 2003's Elephunk, which sold 1.5 million in the UK and almost 9 million worldwide. The E.N.D. begins the next chapter in the career of The Black Eyed Peas. Features the single 'Boom Boom Pow'.

B.E.P fan November 25, 2009 JapFan (Chicago) When Fergie jumped on the bandwagon with these guys i was like okay. "Elephunk" grew on me like mold and I had to go buy the cd. Then came "monkey business" and i was at the store on its out date. As for this one, it's not better than the others but it's up there. This group grew on me, because they are always updating which is good. They were good without Fergie at first but now they're better. So hopefully they keep improving on their styles so I could once again be in that line when they drop a new cd.
Full of Energy! November 25, 2009 D. Branson Boom Boom Wow! The polular songs are of course great; however, there are even better songs that really tell a story. Listening to the whole CD straight through; it is almost like a musical. Track 14 sums it up! So, sit back, relax and get ready to Rock!
The "Energy Never Dies" feels more like Will.i.am vs Fergie November 24, 2009 O. Brooks (Charlotte, NC) After a couple playthroughs of the Album I still haven't figured out what direction B.E.P was trying to take with this, and I honestly don't think they knew either. They have always been diverse in their music, but its apparent in this CD that it is a bit disoriented.
Part of this is no doubt to Fergie and Will.i.am going independent with their own work and being quite successful with it. However it just doesn't fit into what is supposed to be the crew that we were expecting for a group album, they should have left the sidework as just that before they got together for this album. Don't get me wrong, they both do what they do best; due to my electro-fascination I definitely found a few gems here like "Alive" and "Rock Your Body" (Auto-Tune haters will be disappointed though). Will.i.am takes control in most of these tracks, but Fergie's contributions here (especially in "Missing You") are some of the best I've heard from her.
That's where my enjoyment ends though; the hip-hop side of the album is definitely not up to the level it should be, and while tracks like "One Tribe", "I gotta Feeling", and "Now Generation" are not bad, they feel more like campside music rather than whatever they were trying to aim for. While their older work managed to keep consistent themes, I feel like there were three or four themes thrown together (and not exactly representative of each group member) which makes it impossible for most people to enjoy the album in it's entirety, had they kept it more consistent like their previous work. It has been years since the group came together for another collabo, and I feel like too much irrelevant production from will.i.am/Fergie's own side-work, as well as the current mainstream made it into the album.
Also, note while there is no explicit label present, there is a good amount of explicit language and I feel this was another failure on the RIAA's part. Although I do prefer my music on the cleaner side, I'm not going to knock B.E.P for another company's mistake, and I don't mind as much if it's in good taste. The problem here is that it isn't; While F-words are censored (which I noticed in the preview, which led me to believe that the entire CD would be clean) that is definitely not the case; expect forced S-words, N-words, and too much reference to the male anatomy. "Ring-A-ling" could have been a great track if it wasn't so immature; B.E.P is too old to still be pushing out that kind of music.
All that being said I think it's still a decent album, just know what you're getting. The Energy Still Lives here, but I feel like some things definitely have died.
Awesome work from Black Eyed Peas, loving the beats!! November 23, 2009 sailormars I just watched Black Eyed Peas's performance of "Meet Me Halfway" on the X Factor show in UK, and I must say I was absolutely hooked to this song, wonderful vocals from Fergie. I love the fact that they are evolving and trying something new. I also heard "Boom Boom Pow" and "I Gotta Feeling" on several occasions while driving with friends and I was quite impressed. In addition, I'm a clubber so when I heard these two songs, I just can't stop dancing! It must be those tequila shots!! I was really mesmerized of Black Eyed Peas's performance in 2009 Isle of Malta to "Meet Me Halfway", it absolutely won me over. I told myself I got to buy this album right away and now I have it!! Highly Recommended!!
Complete garbage November 20, 2009 Sharooken I got this CD for free when I bought DJ Hero at Target...and now I know why.
Remember when BEP made hip-hop? Yeah, it was pretty sweet. Well those days are gone apparently. This album sounds like a recording of my computer with diarrhea. Seriously. Just horrible. I am embarassed for them.
