5 out of 5 stars Soundtrack to be bought (Or call it an amazing b-side collection)   November 26, 2009
D. Hoyne (Riverdale, NY)
1 out of 1 found this review helpful

Though I will not be caught in the Twilight hype:
Read all/any of the books
See all/any of the movies
Or get into the Edward/Jacob arguments

I am highly impressed with this soundtrack and acquired artists

I would like to initially thank Youtube for introducing me to one of these songs
Hearing Damage (from Thom Yorke)
I thought was an unreleased song for Thom Yorkes solo works
The info box then mentioned Twilight New Moon

Maybe its because some flippin awesome bands and people that were used (Thom Yorke, BRMC, Muse...)
Maybe its the surprisingly well thought meshing of energetic instruments, but sub-dark lyrics

Whether this CD be called
- a soundtrack
- a benefit-cause collabaration worthy album [like Product(RED)]
- or a ridiculously planned b-side collection

This CD is well worth buying -> its on my to buy list

5 out of 5 stars It gets better the more you listen....!   November 25, 2009
K. R. Wayman (seattle)
When I first bought this I was disappointed, thinking I just wasted 10 dollars. i saw new moon in theaters, LOVED IT!!! I heard the music as I was watching the movie...it just went perfectly with the emotions..I think alot of us were expecting the mysterious/upbeat rock on the twilight soundtrack. But The emotion in new moon is different, more sad/complex, and if you listen to new moon soundtrack, thinking of the emotion Bella, and Edward was feeling, you will realize the songs describes what their feelings very well. I now enjoy listening to the soundtrack..its calming, and the songs themselves are done very well!

5 out of 5 stars Excellent   November 24, 2009

I don't buy many soundtracks because I usually only like a few of the songs, and really only parts of most of the songs. However, I bought the New Moon soundtrack when it was on sale at Amazon and I could not be happier with it. I do love the movie, which helps, but this CD is full of fantastic songs! My personal favorite is the "Slow Life" song by Grizzly Bear. I highly recommend it!

5 out of 5 stars JUST PERFECT   November 22, 2009
A. M. Díaz (Madrid, Spain)
It really surprised me how much did I liked the soundtrack.
At first, I loved the first one, but I got tired of the songs really quick, but this time I can't stop listening to it. I really love it, and when I watched the film last Wednesday, I thought that every single song was perfectly combined with the film.
I hope I'll like the third one as much as this soundtrack.
I hope the music director keeps going like this.
