Album Description Since they first joined voices in 1998, The Irish Tenors have made countless traditional treasures breathe with new life. Moreover, they've proven themselves gifted interpreters of a wide range of material, with such songs as "My Heart Will Go On" (made famous by Celine Dion), "Fairytale Of New York" (previously recorded by Kirsty MacColl and The Pogues) and even Jimmy Kennedy's "South Of The Border (Down Mexico Way)." These songs live comfortably in their repertoire alongside "Danny Boy," "My Wild Irish Rose" and "Fields Of Athenry." The Irish Tenors Christmas, features such Holiday classics as "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing," "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town," Silent Night" and a few medleys including "Rockin' Round the Christmas Tree/Jingle Bell Rock." The Irish Tenors powerful vocal line-up of Finbar Wright, Anthony Kearns and Karl Scully, all classically trained singers, each having performed in leading concert halls across the world, combine to produce a sound and concert experience which touches hearts and stirs the emotions. Happy songs of celebration and humor, mixed with touching melodies and songs that warm the heart.

Wonderful Singing November 23, 2009 Ariella Vaccarino (Los Angeles) What a great Christmas album These men have beautiful voices and the arrangements of the pieces are a fabulous showcase. A great album to play throughout the holidays.
Christmas Magic from Ireland! November 23, 2009 Calanais Duende (USA) The Irish Tenors are always sublime, and never more so than when performing the Christmas repertoire! The butter-and-cream vocals of Karl Scully, the soaring magnificence of Anthony Kearns, and the exquisitely soulful tenderness of Finbar Wright, weave a spell of musical delight.
The individual solos are brilliant. Yet it is together, that they create the ultimate enchantment. They are the best in the world and this album reflects their standing! Don't be fooled by imitators--these are THE Irish Tenors!!
Always the Best November 18, 2009 All-access Customer (Wichita, Kansas United States) I always enjoy hearing the Three Tenors and this CD is very much up to the standards I have come to expect.
incredibly wonderful--BRAVO FOR THE IRISH TENORS !!! November 17, 2009 Matthew G. Sherwin (last seen screaming at Amazon customer service) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
The Irish Tenors put out a grand album of wonderful holiday music! Finbar Wright, Anthony Kearns and Karl Scully are all in superb form throughout the album; and that's wonderful. This album is destined to become a classic; it's all that enjoyable! The quality of the sound is excellent and the artwork is very nicely done.
The album begins with a wonderful rendition of "Hark The Herald Angels Sing." The lush musical arrangement is stately and beautiful at once; and The Irish Tenors never miss a beat! They harmonize to perfection and it all makes "Hark The Herald Angels Sing" a very special number. The trio then performs "Go Tell It on the Mountain" and it's terrific to hear them perform this--they never let go of a superfluous note and their excellent diction enhances their singing all the more.
The medley of "Rockin' Round the Christmas Tree" and "Jingle Bell Rock" is thrown in for some fun and it all holds its own very well--the child in all of us is sure to love this number! I wouldn't have thought of combining "Sleigh Ride" and "Feliz Navidad" to make another medley; but it works and that's amazing. Other secular songs include "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town" and "I'll Be Home for Christmas" which features Karl Scully in the spotlight. Karl's solo performance of "I'll Be Home for Christmas" moves me with its beauty; and I doubt I'll ever tire of listening to him sing this.
"Silent Night" gets a very sensitive treatment and I really like their rendition of "O Holy Night." Another religious song is "Mary Did You Know;" Finbar Wright does this with panache and I won't forget it anytime soon!
Overall, The Irish Tenors raised the bar for a fine Christmas album--and then they raised it some more! Their work just on this album alone more than proves they have incredible skill and talent; and if we're lucky they'll release more albums and perform together for many years to come.

We love the "Mary Did you Know" track, but other than that, don't like this CD very much. Too stilted and stuffy.
