Works fine, but a little small July 24, 2009 DCwom This pedal works fine, but on a pile carpet you might need something under it to give it a firmer feel.
Works perfectly with my Yamaha DGX-200 July 20, 2009 Dan Cundiff (Minneapolis, MN) This Yamaha FC-5 Sustain Pedal works perfectly with my Yamaha DGX-200.
The pedal feels very well made. It's constructed out of heavy gauge steel and has a rubber bottom to prevent slipping on the floor and a heavy rubber top so your foot doesn't slide off. The cord is exceptionally thick and flexible as well. Couldn't ask for a better made product.
Great pedal. June 12, 2009 Jake Hamilton This is a great little pedal. The only problem you might have is the fact that it doesn't take a lot of pressure to engage the sustain. Other than that, it doesn't move around or making much noise when pressing on it.
I use the FC-5 in conjunction with my Yamaha PSR-E213. It plugs in and plays perfectly. It creates a semi-realistic and beautiful sustain.
Yamaha pedal, Casio keyboard February 1, 2009 J. Nielsen (Salt Lake City, USA) This is a great pedal. Its design is very simple & straightforward, constructed basically as a hinged metal box fitted with two rubber pads, but it feels nice under the foot. However, I bought this assuming it would work the same with any keyboard, which, curiously, it does not. When I use this pedal with my primary keyboard, a Casio, it functions in reverse, sustaining notes when it is not depressed, and abbreviating them when it is. Despite this, I am not disappointed with this pedal; in fact, I quite enjoy it, as I am still able to do some interesting things using this peculiar property, but I suppose I'll have to pick up a new keyboard now.
Decent and cheap December 1, 2008 P. Backus This sustain pedal is decent, especially for the price. It does exactly what it's supposed to do, and I haven't had any problems yet. The casing and the construction feel pretty solid, although that doesn't mean it couldn't crap out on me later, but it does seem well-built.
My only gripe with this is the same problem others have had, which is that the pedal does move slowly backwards as its used if you have it on carpet. This could probably be fixed by attaching the pedal to something, but I personally haven't gotten around to anything like that yet.
Overall, great buy for the price.
