I have purchased 4 steamers over 13 years. They have not failed to work, my relatives have "adopted" them and I replace them. It is a MUST have for stainless steel appliances. I have a kitchen full of it and nothing cleans it like this steamer! No residue, no streaks, just shiny clean steel. I use it weekly to clean my kitchen sink. It is the best thing to clean your oven racks and when partnered with a little oven cleaner, it can rejuvenate the most caked on crud off a grill rack. Under the counter mounts can collect nasty goo between the counter and sink. My jewelry has never sparkled better than when I steam clean it. Even my jewler remarks on how clean my diamonds are. I love the benefits of bleach, hate the smell and spotted clothes from spills. I can steam clean my bathroom in minutes without toxic cleaners. It erases all unpleasant smells and leaves things shinning and void of germs and stains. I haven't tried to use it to cook vegetables yet, but I have no doubt my precious steamer will not fail me. All of my friends and family joke and tease me for it, but they are also the first ones to ask me to bring it when I visit to clean their cutting boards and other things that no cleaner can clean. Steam on people!

Like most people, I was sold by the TV commercial. I had it for almost a year. I had other Steam cleaner and this one Scunii held steam more than my previous one. Scunii worked OK, not the best product. I wouldn't use this for stove or BBQ grill, it WON'T WORK as advertised. I can clean better with grill chemical and brush than this steam cleaner, BUT I used it mostly for bathroom toilet urine stains. Worked OK, but it definitely can use some more Steam pressure and temperature. I had previous experience with my other steam cleaner, therefore, I made sure to empty the water completely and dry before storing. After a year, it STOPPED working or heating. Product poorly made, I WOULD NOT recommend to pay over $15 for a new product.

First of all I must tell you, I found this mighty steamer at a flea market; in used once condition for $2. From the looks of many reviews I probably bought it from one of you ;-) Being that I only paid $2 I didn't have high expectations and figured if it didn't work I was only out a few bucks. It was the absolute best $2 I ever spent!!! I have used it in every possible cleaning situation I can think of. Works perfect every time. After reading a few reviews I had to post my comments. It sounds like many (not all) of the problems many reviewers are experiencing is of their own doing. Here are a few things that have worked for me....First, let it heat up the full 5 minutes or longer; if it is spitting water it isn't hot enough. Second, you MUST, MUST empty & rinse this out EVERY time you use it. I also leave the cap off when I store it. If this is used, then put away with even a little leftover water in it, it will plug up on you. Salt is this babies worst enemy. A few extra minutes after each use will save you tons of time & frustration later and will keep you steaming away ; -)

The Scunci SS1000 is cheaply constructed of materials that simply caused the unit to fail. Avoid this brand until the quality improves.
