4 out of 5 stars Pretty good   November 25, 2009
T. Wheatley
First of all, they're quite big, so you might be surprised when you put them on and look in the mirror. You might find yourself conducting airplanes at the airport.

As far as the noise canceling, they work about as well as some in-ear plugs that are rated 32 decibels. So that's a good sign. I has hoping for a little more noise reduction, but it's better than nothing and easier/faster to put in place compared to the in-ear plugs.

The earmuffs work well for reducing constant humming noises, sudden load noises, not so well it seems.

4 out of 5 stars Great service and product   November 24, 2009

Order was placed on Sunday and was delivered the next day. Seller keep up this excellent turn around time, you have certainly exceeded delivery expectations. The product arrived in perfect condition. As for what the seller has no control over, the earmuffs themselves are about 70% effective at blocking ambient sound and are comfortable to wear on a small head with their padded ear pieces.

1 out of 5 stars Not what I expected   November 22, 2009
Reviewer From MD (Silver Spring, MD)
The item has a noise reduction value similar to earn plugs with 30 rating. Another words, I was better off using the ear plugs. The item is bulky and just not very practical for at home use.

5 out of 5 stars Don't work on power tools without it   November 16, 2009

I love this thing. Every power tool in my tool shed is noisy, epecially my Harbor Freight dust collector. This earmuff deadens pretty much all the noise. Works so well, my wife periodically gets frutrated that I can't hear her yelling at me from the house. :) I'll never have to worry about losing my hearing doing woodworking with these things. Every wood worker needs to own a pair of these.

5 out of 5 stars They work, in spite of the misleading title   November 9, 2009
Kenneth C. Reed (Forest Ranch, California United States)
These do not have active noise canceling, but I knew that before I ordered them. They do reduce noise levels substantially. The wires that go over your head are quite strong and I didn't find the unit very comfortable until I bent them to a more gentle arc. Now they still seal very well without that "head in a vise" feeling. The ear cups are quite large and so when I slip the muffs down around my neck after I'm done making noise they are a bit obtrusive, but not overly so. Recommended.
