Product Description
Love blooms in the second novel in Nora Roberts's celebrated Bride Quartet series.

As little girls MacKensie, Emma, Laurel, and Parker spent hours acting out their perfect make believe "I do" moments. Years later their fantasies become reality when they start their own wedding planning company to make every woman's dream day come true. With perfect flowers, delicious desserts, and joyful moments captured on film, Nora Roberts's Bride Quartet shares each woman's emotionally magical journey to romance.

In Bed of Roses, florist Emma Grant is finding career success with her friends at Vows wedding planning company, and her love life appears to be thriving. Though men swarm around her, she still hasn't found Mr. Right. And the last place she's looking is right under her nose.

But that's just where Jack Cooke is. He's so close to the women of Vows that he's practically family, but the architect has begun to admit to himself that his feelings for Emma have developed into much more than friendship. When Emma returns his passion—kiss for blistering kiss—they must trust in their history…and in their hearts.

5 out of 5 stars Worth the wait!   November 27, 2009
Little Mel (Wisconsin)
Ever since I read Vision in White I had been impatiently waiting for the next book in the Bridal Quartet. And Bed of Roses did not disappoint! I'm generally not a big Nora Roberts fan but think this series is great!! Can't wait until the next one!

4 out of 5 stars Always read Nora   November 27, 2009

First of all, let me say I read all of Nora Roberts books. She is a great writer. THis series is good, however it goes into too much detail about flowers. I know this is a love of the author, but not everyone. I did enjoy the book and will look forward to the rest of the series.

5 out of 5 stars excellent storyteller   November 27, 2009

Nora Roberts creates an interesting and entertaining story no matter the genre or name she uses.
This is a very good romance and the second book in a trio. I have to say I have gotten away from the romantic stories with the exception of a chosen few. Nora is one of the exceptions.

3 out of 5 stars A good romance   November 27, 2009
Alexia (Northern NJ USA)
The first book in the Bride Quartet series, Vision in White, was one of my first reviews. I like Nora Roberts, as you know exactly what you'll get from her books: a good, old-fashioned, happily-ever-after romance. Sometimes I'm just in the mood for happily-ever-after, and Nora never disappoints.

This one picked up shortly after the first story and focuses on Emma, the florist. Emma is the most romantic one of the four friends, but she's no pushover. Emma and Jack have known each other for years, so are both a little surprised when their relationship takes a romantic turn. You know the story: boy gets girl, boy loses girl, boy wins girl back and they live happily ever after.

This was a fast read with no surprises and about halfway thru the book, I had a pretty good idea who the remaining two women will wind up with. No worries, as getting there is half the fun! I gave this book a 3/5 rating because while it's not outstanding, it's still very readable. Nothing groundbreaking or original, but very well done and you get exactly what you came for. Another job well done Nora!

5 out of 5 stars A MUST READ!!!!   November 24, 2009

This is such a good book. I read this in 2 days. I liked this even better than the first in the sequel. The characters were great and I am so looking forward to her next one!!! Definitely a great Nora Roberts book.
