Product Description
#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR VINCE FLYNN RETURNS WITH HIS MOST EXHILARATING POLITICAL THRILLER TO DATE, A PULSE-POUNDING TALE OF ESPIONAGE, COVERT INTELLIGENCE, AND COUNTERTERRORISM.
The action begins six days after a series of explosions devastated Washington, D.C., targeting the National Counterterrorism Center and killing 185 people, including public officials and CIA employees. It was a bizarre act of extreme violence that called for extreme measures on the part of elite counterterrorism operative Mitch Rapp and his trusted team member, Mike Nash. Now that the initial shock of the catastrophe is over, key Washington officials are up in arms over whether to make friends or foes of the agents who stepped between the enemy's bullets and countless American lives regardless of the legal consequences. Not for the first time, Rapp finds himself in the frustrating position of having to illustrate the realities of national security to politicians whose view from the sidelines is inevitably obstructed. Meanwhile, three of the al Qaeda terrorists are still at large, and Rapp has been unofficially ordered to find them by any means necessary. No one knows the personal, physical, and emotional sacrifices required of the job better than Rapp. When he sees Nash cracking under the pressure of the mission and the memories of the horrors he witnessed during the terrorist attack, he makes a call he hopes will save his friend, assuage the naysayers on Capitol Hill, and get him one step closer to the enemy before it's too late. Once again, Rapp proves himself to be a hero unafraid "to walk the fine line between the moral high ground and violence" (The Salt Lake Tribune) for our country's safety, for the sake of freedom, for the pursuit of honor.

Pursuit of Honor November 27, 2009 Gary Hardt A bit corny .. Plot line was predictable. Just some eye candy for a cold evening.
Couldn't put it down November 26, 2009 R. L. Wilson Flynn is a little more pointed in his perspective in this edition. He is very clear what side he's on. Almost a little too realistic, it's scary. Great Read
A Good Thriller November 26, 2009 David A. Purcell (Tokyo, Japan) I pick up Vince Flynn novels for the same reason most people pick up Vince Flynn novels. I want to read an exciting story in which Mitch Rapp does painful things to murdering terrorists. In this regard, Pursuit of Honor does not disappoint. I like Mr. Flynn's take on Washington politics; having never been to Washington, I can't say whether it rings true or not. Having seen enough political debates and followed enough of the news, it is certainly believable.
The writing style and word choice is about what one can expect. Not spectacular, but it does the job. I usually read these books in one or two sittings, as Flynn always forgets to put in convenient stopping points (well, this being a thriller, I suppose it is more intentional then forgetful). So-so writing, Good pacing, good plot, believable characters and background, Pursuit of Honor is a worthy addition to the Thriller genre: 3 stars
fast, fun and easy read November 25, 2009 Reed A. Gayne
Mitch Rapp comes through again - very easy and fun read; however, it is missing a lot of the action and excitement from some of the previous books. It dwells a little too much on "history" rather than creating its own story and excitement.
