Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The Haunters and the Haunted is a collection of fifty-seven ghost stories -- including famous literary works, bits of myth and folklore, and even regional accounts. Among these stories are "The Fall of the House of Usher" by Edgar Allen Poe, a story about an unnamed narrator who visits his friend Roderick Usher. Roderick is ill and the narrator wishes to improve his mood by spending time with him, reading to him, listening to the music Roderick composes. But as he spends more time at the House of Usher, he realizes that there is something strange about Roderick and there's something even stranger about the house. e must escape this house before this strangeness of being infects him as well. Other stories in this anthology include Thomas Hardy's "The Superstitious Man's Story," Sir Walter Scott's "Wandering Willie's Tale," and many others.
