Product Description
The Polar WeerLink™ transmitter combines advanced Polar technology with a comfortable fabric design. The electrodes, which pick up the heart's signals, are engineered right into the fabric strap. This allows the it to fit individual body shapes while maintaining full freedom of movement.

Amazon.com Product Description
Comfort is key when training. That's why Polar created the Polar WearLink+ coded transmitter, which not only measures your heart rate, but also seamlessly adapts to your body shape so you feel as though it's not even there. The transmitter consists of an electrode strap and a connector, with a new side-clip mechanism keeping the belt secure. The WearLink+'s soft textile material, meanwhile, feels just like a piece of clothing on the skin. And when you're done with your workout, you can remove the anti-bacterial transmitter and throw the textile strap directly into the washing machine. Compatible with all Polar heart rate monitors, this version of the transmitter--which is coded to eliminate interference from other heart rate monitors nearby--is sized extra-extra small and comes with a user-replaceable battery.

About Polar
The first EKG accurate wireless heart rate monitor was invented by Polar back in 1977 as a training tool for the Finnish National Cross Country Ski Team. The concept of "intensity training" by heart rate swept the athletic world in the eighties. By the 1990s, individuals were looking to heart rate monitors not only for performance training needs, but also for achieving everyday fitness goals. Today, the same concept of heart rate training is being used by world-class athletes as well as everyday people trying to lose weight. Polar is the leading brand among consumers, coaches, and personal trainers worldwide and the company is committed to not only producing the best products, but also being the leading educator on the benefits of heart rate based exercise.

5 out of 5 stars Great Product   October 27, 2009

The previous tranmitter from the old style belt caused me a lot of problems but this one works without a hitch

2 out of 5 stars heart rate monitor   October 17, 2009

Bought this to replace non coded transmitter that stopped working after 2 years. Belt is more comfortable but after wearing the transmitter 35 min. it stops working and needs to be dried off. This is always in the middle of my workouts. I haven't even worn it in the pool, not sure if it will even detect my heart rate if its submerged. Would not buy this product again.

5 out of 5 stars Great to work with   September 26, 2009

These people were great to work with. I only received the belt without the transmitter. Turns out there was a mix up between them and amazon. They sent me a prepaid shipping label and refunded my money promptly after the product was returned. I'd work with them again, hopefully I'd get the product I was wanting the first time though, but stuff like that happens sometimes and I really appreciated their understanding and reimbursement.

5 out of 5 stars Great product   September 22, 2009

I wear this every time I workout. It is way more comfortable than the band that came in the original heart rate monitor kit. Works great and I can even clean it with an antibacterial wipe.

4 out of 5 stars Works well but belt is not as comfortable as my previous one   June 24, 2009

I had the previous model of the Polar transmitter and belt to go with my Polar S625X Heart Rate Monitor and enjoy using them all regularly.

Recently the battery ran out. Although you are supposed to be able to open the back with a coin and change the battery, after a couple of years' wear and it not being opened, it was well and truly stuck and any coin we tried just tore up the plastic cover (if they could design a slot to take a screwdriver that might be better).

So I ordered this latest one to replace it. My rib cage measures 30" around and I'm a small-framed woman and, in the absence of any measurement guidelines, I guessed that the larger belt would be designed for large, muscular men, so I ordered a xs-s. It's almost too tight though so I think I should perhaps have ordered the large one after all.

For anyone who is also renewing their belt: The belt I had before, worked by clicking each end onto either side of the of the back of the transmitter (ie the transmitter acted as the clip to hold the belt around you). This belt has the transmitter clipped onto one part of it (so you don't have to unclip it when you take the belt off) and it has a separate hook to fasten the belt around you. Unfortunately the adjustable buckle part of the belt digs into my rib cage and the hook flap/cover is a bit irritating. Luckily the transmitter is exactly the same design as the one I had before so I'm just using it with my old belt.

My one final thought is that I should probabaly open the battery cover of my new transmitter on a regular basis, so that when I need to change the battery, there's a chance that I'll be able to get to it this time.
