Excellent Buy!! July 3, 2009 J. Johnson (Columbia, SC) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I wondered if this would be accurate when I ordered it. I AM very pleased to find it is right on target, very reliable. I compared it to running machines (monitors) in two different gyms and it was within 1 point of each of them. It is VERY accurate and dependable. It works time after time-very reliable and I am picky. Highly recommend this heart rate monitor, I could not be more pleased!!
Doesn't work when I am sweaty June 29, 2009 J. Lawlor (joeylaw) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
The heart rate monitor works great when I am sitting down, but as soon as I start to sweat (which is when I need it to work), it can't get a reading.
Not reliable May 30, 2009 B. Nicholas Loewen 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I thought I'd like the Sportline monitor/watch, but there were several reasons I didn't and so I returned it. The main reason I didn't like it is because I had a very difficult time getting readings of my heart rate while actually exercising. On the treadmill, I don't think I ever actually got one, and forget about it while biking. You have to ride one handed for 4 seconds or so, and the few times I tried, I still never got a reading. The watch looks very nice, but it has some problems, too. First, to get from a function to the time, you have to cycle all the way through all the functions. That's a little annoying. Second, with every push of the button, there's a beep. I didn't figure out if it were possible to mute that, but if it doesn't mute, it's a real annoyance. All in all, an okay watch and a terrible (for me) monitor, since I couldn't really use it while exercising.
Excellent watch and pulse monitor May 4, 2009 Doug (Marlborough, MA) I purchased this watch based on the Amazon.com reviews. It seems to accurately measure my pulse even with my atrial fibrillation. I like the appearance of the watch. The buttons are large and easy to set. The manual directions seem to be clear, although I haven't tried the more complex functions yet. Great value for the price.
Satisfied customer March 15, 2009 Honest Abe (Florida) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Although I have been a Polar watch person I recently changed over to sportline because of price and no strap. Don't let them kid you this watch is very acurate. There is just enough software programs,"HR, calorie count, duel time" to keep you going without burden of to much information. Happy I made the change and I don't miss the belt. Happy running.
