4 out of 5 stars Good product, not right for me   November 21, 2009

I bought this to stabilize the front of my semi-automatic rimfire M4 style rifle. The only problem is the legs don't extend far enough to allow my 25-round magazine to clear the ground from a prone position. When I shoot from a table with an opening for my magazine, this bipod works just perfect. I just should have measured my forearm elevation requirement over the total depth needed to clear my magazine first. If you have a light to medium weight rifle with a 10-round mag (or so) or shorter standoff requirement, this is the bipod for you. This is my second as my NcStar bipod never made it beyond the gun show. One leg failed on the NcStar when I started to install it on my rifle. This UTG model is much more robust in design and durability.

4 out of 5 stars Short, Stout and Inexpensive   November 15, 2009

All in all, I am very happy with this product. It functions as designed and promised. It's not the most expensive or greatest quality, but then again it was less than $30.00. 4 out of 5 simply because there is a bit of rattle as I just cannot seem to get the nut tight enough on my UTG rail. (please note, most folks wouldn't notice, but I was looking for perfection, i know perfection in $30.00 package yeah right.) Still it does work and hey I can use the money saved to grab some ammo...

5 out of 5 stars great inexpensive bipod   November 13, 2009

bought this for an AR target rifle. great bipod. its simple in construction and fits on in a snap. its a little heavy for its size. but is very sturdy. it can be a bit short in a fully extended position. my 30 round mags dont let the stock rest. can be fixed with a riser or a "toe" for my stock. very impressed for the money i spent. i have a few harris bipods, as much as i love them. they cost so much, and their spring actions can be such a pain sometimes....if u have a 5K precision rifle skip this. if you have an AR and want a bipod "option" i cant see what you would get from a more expensive one.

4 out of 5 stars Good Bipod, Bad Height   November 9, 2009

Initially, looks sweet on my gun. Its easy to fold up and down with your one hand that's normally on the forend.

Pros: Swivels left and right easily only when gun is resting on it
Attaches to a weaver/picatinny rail or sling swivel
Comes with a sling swivel stud attachment
Spring-loaded legs for uneven terrain
All metal construction

Cons: Too short for assault profile weapons

Summary: Great bipod, but not able to be used with an assault profile weapon. For instance, it will not work with an AR-15 or AK-47, due to the magazine length, but would work with hunting rifles, long range pistols or, if you're weird, a shotgun. As for durability, it's indestructable. I think it is worth the money, given that it's so inexpensive.

I ordered this bipod for my 8 year old son, and he loves it. It fits snugly on his M1 airsoft gun, and works perfectly for sniping and for airsoft battles. I would recommend this product.
