This is such a cool gift. I have a 10 year old, who had a pocket rocket (also by Razor) that after 3 years kind of lost it's coolness. Overall he really likes the go-kart, his hangups are the speed, more leg room, and turning control. He's around 5'1 and 76 pounds and is forced to sit butterfly style, which looks strange. I consider this a starter kart, since there isn't much to it. I really enjoy the red color and haven't noticed the battery life being a problem. I did read that in many reviews. I noticed in the instruction booklet it strongly advises to charge for 18 hours and the box says something like 12.. I went the full 18 and no complaints. I have the neighborhood children lined up at the door waiting for a turn.

We bought this for our seven year old son, we also have a 12 year old and nine year old so we wanted something they could all ride without breaking it and this seemed perfect. It is super fun and fast but I wish it could turn a bit sharper. The kids are almost forced to go in the road to make a u-turn because they can't get all the way around in the driveway and going on the grass is not an option because it gets high centered. We have plenty of sidewalk and safe streets though so it hasn't been a huge issue and none of the kids can ride it enough and the battery life has been pretty impressive so far.

This GoKart is great! Works well and very sturdy. My 10 year old loves it! It is a issue where to use it. Not a good idea in neighborhoods with cars because it is so low and hard to see. Basically have to load and take to a park. Use caution in users under 8. My 7 year old nephew crashed it into a fence going about 10mph. Could have been a bad crash if I hadn't enforced the helmet and seatbelt rule. The kart was fine after the crash. Super sturdy. Woulld make a fabulous Christmas gift.

We did the 2-day shipping method and it was right on time. The assembly was a piece of cake, because all that needed to be assembled was the seat & seatbelt, and the battery needed to be charged. We bought him his favorite helmet, some elbow pads & knee pads, then took him to the park to ride it, we were extremely pleased. It was a perfect fit for him, he's 5 years old & I was very, very happy that the speed of the Go Kart was fast, but not too fast for him. It definitely goes a little faster than what the item described, but not so fast that we had to be concerned about him losing control. WE LOVE THIS GO KART!!!!! It was the best item we bought this year...and the price was a steal. We researched other Go Karts, we Googled, we searched E-Bay, and Amazon had what we were looking for............
