5 out of 5 stars Very entertaining   November 25, 2009

My grandson got this for his first birthday. He absolutely loves this toy. He will play with it until we get tired of chasing the balls down for him. The look on his face when he figured out he could start the balls popping by pushing on the big red button was priceless. I highly recommend it.

5 out of 5 stars Well worth the price   November 25, 2009

I bought this for my child care center a year ago. Since then many adults, and children have enjoyed playing with the ball popper. If child is crying I show them this toy and most stop crying (most:P). I found adults playing with this toy while I was out of the room. Even I have enjoyed catching all the balls. Kids sometimes will fight over it, I would suggest buying two of these if you own a child care center.

PROS: The ball popper has not broken down, it is safe for children of all ages (no small parts), it is easy to assemble, and it is easy to wash. For instance, many children will place the balls in their mouths, and will stick their hands in the tunnel. However, this is a very safe toy!

Cons: It takes numerous batteries to operate. Children like to fight over this.

2 out of 5 stars Scares our little one to tears   November 24, 2009

I see alot of good reviews for this toy, but that just hasn't been the experience for us. Our daughter has always been a bit sensitive to noises. She's terrified of the vacuum, electric hand driers, and this toy makes a very similar noise. She was frightened of it at 12 months, and at 22 months nothing's changed... in fact just the sight of the toy sends her running to the other side of the room. Otherwise it looks like a fun toy, it's just maybe not for everyone.

5 out of 5 stars Everyone needs one of these!!   November 23, 2009

I bought this toy for my daughter last year for Christmas. She has been having a "ball" with it ever since (pun completely intended). When I was going through her toys to discard and make room for this Christmas I passed this one over with a knowing smile, my little girl would be devestated if I gave it away. Every child that comes over to play has a blast with this toy. It encourages the children to play together and work together to get all the popping balls back in the machine. It also helps to keep them active and I am certainly a fan of anything that tuckers her out for a nap. It also helped Lucy to learn her colors, "Get Mommy the pink ball, Press the red button" and seems to be a hit for all ages. I am online right now to order one for my nephew for Christmas because he loves it so much! And yes, I will admit, even I have a great time playing with this one.

5 out of 5 stars LOVE THIS TOY!!!   November 17, 2009

I have seen the other negative reviews on this toy. I read them because I could not imagine anyone saying anything bad about it! My son absolutely loves this toy. We got it for him about 6 weeks ago. Yes it is VERY LOUD (both music and fan), in fact much louder than all of his other toys. I've gotten used to it though and don't mind. At first, the loud music did seem to scare him but after a few days of hs older siblings playing with it, he seemed to get the idea and figured out how to push the plunger himself. Now he pushes it all the time. The balls do go flying (how anyone coudl say the fan isn't strong enough, I don't know) sometimes, and sometimes he chases them and sometimes I have to dig them out of places. Once again, that's ok since the whole idea is for his enjoyment and development. And it gives me a little added exercise. He has tried to stick other toys down the hole but, anticipating that he'd do this, I'm really careful about which toys I leave out for him when he's playing with this so that he's can't get anything too stuck. So most of the other toys he has have pieces too big to really fit far down the hole and I can just pull them out. I must have the newer model with the cover because we have not had any "danger" issues with him getting stuck or even trying to get his arm stuck. He is also always supervised when playing with things like this. Bottom line is my son loves it and so do I! If you want tons of fun and laughter with your baby I highly recommend this toy!
