| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com Peter Pan has a special place in the realm of classic animated Disney films: it instills an element of childlike wonder. The 1953 version of James M. Barrie's story is colorfully told and keeps on the straight and narrow of the book. Barrie's wondrous focus on child's play is the key to its longevity: kids who don't grow up, shadows that run away from their owners, pirates, a fairy, and the magic ability to fly. In short, you can't help wishing the adventure would happen to you. Fueled by a few memorable songs (the stunner being "You Can Fly") and the strong impression of the pixie fairy Tinkerbell and the goofy Captain Hook, Disney's version of this story neither supplants nor lessens the Broadway version with Mary Martin that was produced for television the same decade. Unlike some classics, Peter Pan never ages along the way. --Doug Thomas

Peter Pan November 4, 2009 Teresa W. Woodard (Lucama, North Carolina) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This was a gift for my granddaughter. I saw part of the movie but was not impressed as I like more animation and less cartoons.
Review for Peter Pan DVD October 23, 2009 Ms. Nuhfer Alysha Miller
Block 3
"Come with me where you'll never, never have to worry about grown up things again." That quote, said by Peter Pan, starts a whole adventure with Peter and Wendy. In the movie, Peter Pan, Peter comes to Wendy's house and takes her and her siblings to Never Land, where no one ever grows up. Never Land is filled with pirates, mermaids, Indians, and fairies. Peter and Wendy go through many obstacles to defeat the villain, Captain Hook. One reason that you should buy this movie is because it is entertaining for everyone from kids to adults. The animated and imaginary land will be fun for kids, and the adults will enjoy the wonder of childhood. Also, you should buy this product because it is a Disney classic. It is one of Disney's most famous movies, and you can own it and have the ability to be a part of the magic Disney brings to every film it makes. Finally, you should buy Peter Pan because it will stay in your heart forever. The delightful tale of children just letting go and having fun will always be a reminder to have a good time instead of worrying about problems throughout all of your life. In conclusion, you should purchase Peter Pan because it is enchanting for everyone, it is a famous Disney film, and the concept will be with you forever.
Without a doubt my fave Disney film! September 25, 2009 Laurie (USA) I've liked all the version of Peter Pan made over the years (such as Hook, and more recently P.J. Hogan's Peter Pan), but Disney's 1953 version will always be my favorite. I've loved this movie since I was a young, and I still enjoy watching it today. The music is terrific, the animation is beautiful, and (despite what others may think) wonderfully depicts J.M. Barrie's classic novel about a boy who would not grow up. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys classic Disney films and/or the original novel.
BIG HIT WITH THE GRANDSON'S September 19, 2009 Britton King THEY WANT TO BE PIRATES NOW..........dont make the mistake of not gifting your children or grandchildren(in my case) the Disney Classic's. You would be surprised how often bits of them are referenced in our adult world. .."Peter Pan syndrom" for one. Do you believe in fairies for another. The list goes on. Get them all.
Enjoyed September 13, 2009 S. Packebush (Central Texas) I bought this so I could share it with my 2 year old grandson. We enjoyed watching it together.
