Not the Concert! November 26, 2009 P. Arnold (Michigan) When I bought this I thought I was getting the concert.
WRONG!!!!
All this is 3 disks of album reviews up to Back in Black.
Still no DVD July 10, 2009 A. Melnikoff (PA) Saw this in a theater at midnight when it was released. Had a mono
copy of it on beta. Now have a decent copy of it on VHS. Soundtrack
from these shows are remastered for the "Bonfire" box set. They need
to put this video with the soundtrack and put out a DVD already. The
back cover shows a picture taken in the 80's with Brian Johnson but the
video is of a show with Bon Scott as singer. If you are a fan of either
the singer or the music, this is a great video. No Bluray, no 12.1
surround sound. Just release a DVD with a soundtrack on par with the
"If You Want Blood You Got It" release. Do not be confused with the
multi-disk release with the same title. I don't think any of this
footage is in that.
BON WAS SO COOL June 1, 2009 Lorin D. White (EL RENO,OK.) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
AWESOME CONCERT,NICE TO SEE THE ORIGINAL AC/DC STRUT THEIR STUFF,BON LOOKED IN PRIME HEALTH,WHAT A SHAME WE LOST HIM JUST A COUPLE OF MONTHS LATER.
Pure drivel !! February 3, 2009 Neil Mcmurray I was REALLY dissappointed with this DVD set! If you have MTV and/or VH1, you've already seen it. I own the original Let There Be Rock on VHS, with Bon Scott. This concert is NOT on this DVD set!!
***** BUYER BEWARE *****
Rocks! January 9, 2009 Warren Chirhart (Wiesloch, Germany) The opening is cheesey, but I guess it looked better on the big screen when I first saw it at a midnight movie (in 1980/81). The opening audio is also not so good, but it improves once the concert gets going. The real prize is being able to watch Bon Scott perform and seeing the rest of the band when they were still in their 20's. Angus is a dynamo! The man never stops moving. His bluesy solos later in the film are fantastic. Having seen AC/DC in concert with Brain Johnson in 1982, I'm happy to say that Angus's antics were the same as what I saw in the movie, complete with mooning the audience. They really are a great, and fun to watch, Rock 'n Roll band.
