Description
In the Fall of 1999 Kinky Friedman persuaded three of his closest friends, Don Imus, Willie Nelson, and Dwight Yoakam, into making a television infomercial for his CD, "Pearls in the Snow". The hilarious results of their attempt to help their extremely irritating friend are captured on the new video, "How To Lose Friends & Irritate People". See Don, Willie, and Dwight at their uncut, uncensored, and irritated best! This 45 minute video includes live footage of Kinky performing at the La Zona Rosa club in Austin, Texas, as well as the outrageous music video, "Get Your Biscuits in the Oven and Your Buns in the Bed", with Ruth Buzzi and Richard Moll. Three duets performed by Kinky and Willie Nelson make this item a must-have for all Kink-o-philes!

3 out of 5 stars Only for the hardcore fan   July 16, 2000

This attempt at a funny infomercial for Kinky Friedman's album Pearls in the Snow misses the mark. Dwight Yoakam's contribution consists mostly of expressing his incredulity at the participation of Don Imus. Don Imus' part is mostly wondering why he's not getting paid. Willie Nelson is best when he's singing and playing with Friedman. There are several segments with Kinky live, on stage. The diehard Kinky fan will probably enjoy this video - everyone else be warned - it is irritating.
