The dustpan is just fine picks everything up nicely but for the price of this outfit, the broom should have been close to the top of the line for broom and dustpan sets.

If you're looking for a whisk broom with a longer handle or have just a small area, then this would be great. The product seems fine. I, however, was looking for a full sized broom.
I already have this packed up to go back, so I can't take my tape measure to it, but the 9.3 inches width (in the description) must be the width of the dust pan. You can kinda extrapolate how wide the broom is since it fits inside the dust pan. And, as several people have mentioned, the handle is way too short for anything but a quick spot job.
The reason for my one star is really to address Amazon's description rather than the product. I think if they made it a little clearer then all the ratings might be good.

I just moved into a new apartment where there is a large area of bare floor. The problem is I use a power wheelchair and one day I spilled sugar all over the kitchen floor. I had to get out of my chair and use a handheld dust pan and broom crawling inch by inch. It didn't work very well.
Now with this product, I can stay in my chair and sweep the floor with ease.

I am 5'1" and I feel that the broom is too short. I did not check the measurements before buying because I thought it would be adult size. I gave it 3 stars because it still serves its purpose and it is good for spot clean ups. I live in an apt and there is not a big area to sweep.

Since I should not stoop or bend to any degree because of my back, this set has made cleaning up kitty litter, crumbs, etc. from my floors a breeze. I agree that it is not too short or too long. The pan is flush to the floor and all the dregs are easily swept into it, usually on the first try. I am so very happy with this purchase that I could do a dance, but that is not good for the back either.
