It comes with a plastic case and an extra battery. It has a 'made in China' feel to it which makes me unsure about the precision. Maybe it's only a perceived quality issue. If you don't mind that, for this price it's totally worth purchasing.

The product shipped and arrived in an expeditious manner. The calipers were as advertized. The reason I gave it a middle of the road rating was because the battery that was installed in the unit lasted all but 15 minutes. The spare battery that also shipped as advertized was completely corroded and unusable. I ordered six units and had to replace all 12 batteries (installed and spare). That is unacceptable!

Every household should have one of these. You never realize just how frequently they can be used, until you have one. I've been using it for luthier work, and in my home shop. It's super easy to use. The included case is heavy duty. I think the accuracy is just fine for the average user. I have no reason to believe that this caliper will not last me the rest of my life (should only need to change batteries).
