5 out of 5 stars Great product!   October 21, 2009

The Quake Hold museum putty worked great!

Needed to secure my china cabinet nicknacks and this worked great!

I have a lot of glass so I need to get the clear gel for those, the tan putty is holding them for now really well!

I'm able to move them around easily as well. Putty is staying flexible but holding great!

Would recommend to anyone!

5 out of 5 stars Good Hold   September 10, 2009

Used this product to put up some posters on my walls. It works great for this application. Holds up all my posters, some as large as 3"x5", without problems. No damage on walls and it doesn't dry out either.

5 out of 5 stars Quake Hold   July 8, 2009

This product is awesome. I have wrought iron wall hangings that rattle everytime a big truck goes by, or an airplane flies overhead. I put some Quake Hold strategically on the corners, etc. and not a rattle since. Wish I would have used it long ago.

5 out of 5 stars It Works   May 25, 2009

Several of the most recent reviews of this product haven't been too favorable so I felt I should chime in. I purchased Quake Hold for one specific use: to secure audio speakers (wood cabinet) to a metal speaker stand.

The first time I did not follow the instructions. I used more of the product than the instructions said to use. It seemed to work fine - the speakers were securely fastened. Four years later I decided to replace the speakers and.. I had one heck of a time removing them. I had to use a lot of force to separate the speakers from the stand and it was my own fault for using too much. Once that was done, the putty came off of both the stand and the speaker very easily and left no residue whatsoever.

Next I used the recommended amount to mount new speakers on the stands. After giving it time to set, I tried rocking them and the speakers were securely fastened. Then I decided to replace them after three months. This time it was easier because I had used a much smaller amount. Once again the putty easily came off the stand and the speaker, with no marks. I used it again for another pair of speakers with success.

I have only used Quake Hold for mounting speakers and it works fine. Your mileage may vary on other materials but frankly, I found it hard to believe the reviewers who said it didn't work for them. This thing works almost TOO good.

This stuff is holding up an over-sized poster of Michelangelo's Creation on my ceiling for over three weeks now. I was pleasantly surprised. Also, it's a great price at $5.
