4 out of 5 stars Pro Caulk...Time & Backache   November 24, 2009
saxman (North Haledon, NJ United States)
If you have never caulked before as was my case, you may want to check your favorite search engine or a you tube on how its best done. I found it invaluable because the professional told me to use blue painters tape about 1/8" away from each part of the joint. It takes time to remove the old caulk, in my case it was looking a little moldy so I had to get it out. It takes time to clean and dry the joint. You'll need to use a razor blade in addition to the caulk removal tool they supply. It takes more time to tape off the joint. Finally you are ready to slowly fill the joint with the sealant supplied. I found that the supplied amount was not enough for my purposes so I will have to caulk more in the future. The process of using the tool to spread the caulk actually goes pretty quickly. It must dry for 24 hours before you can get it wet. The finished product looked pretty good especially where the joint was close. I have an older house and there were some areas where it took more caulk or the joint wasn't quite level so it made the process a little tougher. My back and keister were a bit sore after this whole process also. Its not as easy as it appears in the infomercial, but its not that hard either. 4 out of 5 stars. It was an experience.

2 out of 5 stars Pro Caulk Kit   November 7, 2009

The hard plastic knife included in the kit was useless! I don't think it would cut through butter let alone hardened caulk.

3 out of 5 stars worthless caulk   October 18, 2009
Susan (Palm Beach)
The product works pretty good, but the caulk is hard and worthless. If you purchase this product do yourself a favor and buy your own caulk. Even though DAP is a great caulk, they must have given defective tubes to this company. It's hard to believe since their name looks bad also!

Good luck!

4 out of 5 stars Fun tools; easy to use   October 18, 2009

Caulk was just what I needed. The scraping tool was wonderful. The corner tools were only OK. My walls were not quite square, and it left too much caulk behind. I ended up using my finger to smooth, which left a great line behind.

1 out of 5 stars Waste of money   September 22, 2009

I have been renovating houses for years and have tiled and caulked many sinks and tubs. I decided to try this set of tools on my last project and found it a complete waste of money. Despite several attempts I was never able to achieve adequate results and ended up reworking the caulk with my finger. I'm out $15 and about 20 minutes of my time. I have found the best results by using blue painting tape to mask off the area I want to caulk and then using a wet finger to smooth the caulk. Remove the tape before the caulk sets up. I wouldn't waste my time or money with this product if I were you.
