Wobly Arm October 2, 2009 G_S_ Not sure if it's a defect, but there's another review mentioning that one arm does not support the other side as well. The wobbliness gets annoying.
The light is plenty bright even on batteries.
Edit: It won't let me bump it up a star now. I sent it back in for a replacement. The replacement doesn't have the arm problem. However, I'm still concerned that the arms will loosen over time.
Covers All the Bases September 6, 2009 P. Belfiglio For a cordless, LED desk lamp this does it all -- end of search. I am going to purchase another one (or more for gifts). My wife and I like the:
- dimming feature
- the way in which the light source can "telescope" and tilt and revolve at just the right angle over the page
- the longevity before changing batteries
- the quality feel (for the price)
- the beam focus and light diffusion (no "shadows" within the light)
So, on that note, and especially for the price, you can't to wrong with this purchase. Remember, though, this is "white" LED light not soft, incandescent, lighting. If you want a more warm glow perhaps could fashion a cover of some sort -- these lights do not get that hot at all.
Nice Laptop Light July 10, 2009 Crystal Greenwood 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This works great for using as a light for my keyboard on my laptop. Make sure you have good batteries if using that method for power otherwise it will be dim. Only reason I gave it a 4 was because the telescoping sides are a little cheap. The left side is good but the right side doesn't hold the light up as well as the left. Good for the price and it is compact so it would be a good travel light.
great light July 1, 2009 Mass Professor (MA, United States) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have owned as many as 10 LED lights. This one is the best. It uses 6 AA batteries which lasts a long time. Also, you can power it with USB cable via your computer's USB port or a USB power adapter.
It is very versatile and flexible. You can adjust the height, direction, angles of the 8 bright LEDS thanks to the two telescopic support. Also, the brightness of the LEDs can be adjusted too. It is easy to adjust the lights to keep it away from other people who may be sleeping beside you.
The LEDs are bright and white. It also comes with a small storage compartment.
Great little light May 27, 2009 Cary (Massachusetts) This light is even better than advertised. Compact and yet bright over an entire desk space. Great for traveling too.
