5 out of 5 stars Fantastic sampler   November 13, 2009
Claude H. Raines (Monterey, CA)
This a fantastic sampler. I downloaded it because it's free and contained a song from Hayes Carll I was not familiar with. The version of Lost Highway on the sampler is a duet with Kurt Nilsen, not Ray Price.

5 out of 5 stars love this collection!   November 12, 2009

A great sampling of music. Each artist is a little different. Love that the sampler includes Willie Nelson, Lyle Lovett and Robert Earl Keen.

5 out of 5 stars What a treat   November 12, 2009

The title track by Willie Nelson is one of his best. Each one of the six songs is worth listening to -- I especially liked Waiting on the Stars to Fall (Hayes Carll) and Pantry (Lyle Lovett). Highly recommended, especially for road tunes.

I hadn't heard Ryan Bingham before and I enjoyed his song and am interested in checking out more, so the sampler has done it's job. BTW, if you're wondering, it's Ray Price singing the duet with Willie--that's the problem with downloads, they have no liner notes. Everything else was OK (I was actually a little disappointed with the Lyle Lovett song), but probably won't drive me to buy any of the albums.

It was the first time I had tried the Amazon download thingy. It worked fine for me.

The Amazon mp3 downloader is fast and easy and seamless when downloading to the "fruit brand" library. Loved this little CD and am wondering why it is FREE! Oh, my bad, I know, because it's AMAZON and they have great deals!
