Product Description Canon has poured all the Know How of its extraordinary history of developing innovative office machines into each of its copiers, printers, and networked office systems. The same superiority of design and manufacture goes into all of the Canon-branded consumable imaging supplies and parts for this equipment. Naturally, no one makes better parts and supplies for Canon products than Canon. Using genuine Canon parts and supplies is your best insurance against equipment damage, and possibly voiding your equipment warranty.
Amazon.com Compatible with Canon PIXMA models iP4200, iP5200, iP5200R, 500 and 800, the PGI-5BK black ink cartridge is created with pigment ink formulation for long lasting prints. Designed to be resistant to highlighter smearing and smudges, the ultra-fine ink provides your documents with crisply legible text and sharply defined images on a range of papers. The expected yield is approximately 650 pages per cartridge, based on 5% coverage. What's in the Box: Two black ink cartridges

Canon ink November 24, 2009 Every time I order these ink cartridges I never have a problem with the performance. My prints are always crisp and sharp looking.
Stick with the name-brand inks November 16, 2009 M. Stees (Cleveland, Ohio USA) We've blown out a couple of similar printers (Canon Pixma) using generic inks--they work for a few months but then the print heads go, and even when they're working you have to clean and align them often. After a while you just can't get back to acceptable photo quality. Both a computer repair fellow and a tech guy at Canon told me that the name-brand inks really do make a difference, and since then we've had that experience. We've had our current Pixma printer for at least a year and a half and have only used Canon inks, and it still prints beautiful photos with no extra cleaning or maintenance steps required. Yes, the Canon inks cost more, but using them saves a lot of hassle and keeps print quality where you expect it. It's a case of getting what you pay for!
Best Price Around November 8, 2009 S. Moore (Tampa, FL) Canon printer cartridges are just ridiculously expensive! It's a real racket that Canon has going, but at least there was some relief in buying these cartridges through Amazon. I spent a lot of time trying to find new cartridges and these were by far the best price. While I may never buy another Canon printer, at least the cartridges here are - relatively - a good deal.
Printer ink cartridges November 4, 2009 Stephen B. Fortgang Ink cartridges arrived earlier than I had expected (not at all a problem!). Am very satisfied with the order - and - delivery system.
Good Buy... October 23, 2009 D. S. Thurlow (Alaska) Canon PGI-5 Black Pigment Ink Tanks are fully compatible with Canon printers using the 26ml tank size. I use my printer for everything from letters to graphics to printing digital photo prints and the quality is just fine. The tanks themselves are the snap-in, snap-out variety and I have never had a failure with the tanks themselves. This type is a little expensive but highly recommended as a good buy for general use.
