5 out of 5 stars best humidifier around   November 25, 2009
E. Wilson (Maryland)
We bought this humidifier 2 years ago to help cure my son's eczema (which it does, by the way). Since then we have bought 3 different humidifiers to have around the house and none of them are any good compared to this one. It has been incredibly durable, used in hotels across the entire country, used daily for 2+ winters now.

MOST IMPORTANT PRO:
The water vapor is always pure because it is from boiling water, you never have to worry about impurities and bacteria being pumped into your air like you do with cool mist humidifiers or humidifiers with wicking filters.

MOST IMPORTANT CON:
You can't leave this where your young children might knock it over. It has boiling water in it and will burn.

I love this humidifier and in the unlikely event that it ever stops working I will replace it with another one.

3 out of 5 stars ? liquid never evaporates out of the medicine cup. WHY?   November 22, 2009
Kelly Spring (New York)
SO far so good but I fill the inhalant in the medicine cup and after the entire contents of the water tank being emptied the same amount of inhalant is still in the medicine cup. Any ideas why?

4 out of 5 stars Vicks Warm Mist Humidifier   November 18, 2009

This Vicks humidifier works very well for what it was designed for. I use it to add humidity to my bedroom, however, a unit that is not a warm mist would probably do the job as well. For the money it is worth it....

5 out of 5 stars Very Good   November 15, 2009
Jason (Wrentham, MA)
I bought 2. Does a very good job, has certainly helped my kids coughs tremendously. I had one for my first child and a lesser one for my second child but their coughs recently returned. I got these 2 new ones and the problem was nearly completely eliminated. I don't think we could get by without this. I bought them here because they were at least 25% cheaper than the same product anywhere else I could find. I highly recommend this humidifier.

4 out of 5 stars Good value for the money   November 14, 2009
Marybeth Fagan (MA)
Overall, I'm very happy with this humidifier. I bought it for when my son or I have upper respritory coughs or croup. Warm mist is much better at keeping it from tightening up. This unit is relatively quiet (Far quieter than any cool mist I've ever owned).

It's a bit of a pain to clearm (as with any warm mist) because of mineral build up. However, if you clean it weekly as the instructions suggest it's not bad. Just leave it soaking in vinegar and take a little toothbrush to it afer to loosen up more, it comes clean easily.

I like this so much, I'm ordering a second.
