Product Description A MANHATTAN PLAYBOY GETS A NEW CORPORATE BOSS, AND SHE TREATS HIM THE WAY HE HAS ALWAYS TREATED WOMEN.
Amazon.com Eddie Murphy makes a graceless debut as a romantic lead in this comedy from Reginald Hudlin. Murphy stars as a ladies man for whom the tables turn when he suddenly finds himself taken for granted by a lover (Robin Givens). Meanwhile, the platonic friend (Halle Berry) whom Murphy regularly visits is obviously--to the viewer, anyway--the woman he's supposed to be with. The absurdly long film is filled out with some fairly crude humor, such as the sight of Geoffrey Holder taking a whiff of Grace Jones's underwear. Yet Hudlin and Murphy also strain for a veneer of elegance and sophistication. Wanting to play it both ways, they end up with nothing. But there are several good sequences where Murphy is quite funny just being Murphy, such as his explanation to Berry of how you can tell which characters in an old episode of Star Trek are destined to die. --Tom Keogh

one of my favorites November 23, 2009 gooney googoo (new jersey) I liked Eddie alot in this one. Halle was awesonme; Robin was pretty good and even though Tisha had a small part, she was pretty funny. All time Eddie classics.
Great acting October 11, 2009 Dorothy L. Hunt (Wilmette, IL USA) Hello, I am writing in regards to this movie Boomerang. In my opinion one of Eddie Murphy's better Movies. I really like the idea that it seems that men are taught a lession in this movie. That unless your intentions are honrable, you shouldn't take a person for granted. What goes around comes around. Hopefully, who ever watches this movie realizes that. Robin Givens really shows her acting ability in this movie. Also, Halle Berry which is one of my favorite actresses. Yes, I would give this movie five stars.
Thanks,
Dorothy L. Hunt
the best August 15, 2009 debo lisa (Dallas tx) Eddie Murphy movie, i like this better than anything he has done except his standup oh i forgot i liked Harlem Nights also.
A cool movie June 25, 2009 Catherine-Zeta (Vancouver, British Columbia) I really enjoyed this movie. It was when Eddie was making good movies. After that everything he has done has gone down hill. I like Robyn Givens in this movie as well and a unknown not popular Halle Berry. I love Martin Lawrence in this movie. Also, Chris Rock has a small part as well. LOL
A Classic! May 4, 2009 KGB (Miami, FL) Boomerang is hilarious! Great cast, lots of laughter, fab story-line. No matter how many years pass, Boomerang is one of those movies that will always be a relevant romantic-comedy.
