With built-in networking, everyone in the office can easily share the device. | Vivid Photos and Laser-Quality Text--Fast! Canon's newly developed Pigment Reaction (PgR) ink system incorporates a higher-intensity black pigment, a clear ink, and specially formulated color pigment inks for superior results for all your prints. This unique system coats the paper with clear ink before it reaches the print head, helping the colors more effectively bond together for better saturation and brightness. And since each color comes in its own tank, you only need to replace the color that runs out, reducing waste and saving you money. Offering prints at up to 4800 x 1200 dpi color resolution, photos exhibit continuous tone and look like they are fresh from the photo lab. In addition to the PgR ink system, the printer has a print head capable of producing two-picoliter ink droplets for exacting detail. You don't have to wait long for your prints either--a 4 x 6-inch borderless print takes only about 43 seconds. When printing business documents, the MX7600 churns out prints at up to 28 pages per minute (ppm) in mono, and 23 ppm in color. Because the printer has two paper feeders, less time needs to be spent loading or changing media. With a built-in duplexer, you don't have to waste your time standing by the printer flipping sheets when you want to print on both sides. And you don't have to wait for the machine to slowly start up either; the unit is ready for use in about five seconds after power up. The printer is network-ready thanks to its built-in Ethernet connection. Just connect it to your home or office network, and your networked computers can share the printer. The printer also features a built-in memory card slot that allows you to print photos straight from a memory card without a computer. With the printer's LCD, you can look at the pictures you want printed, and with Auto Image Fix, picture quality is automatically optimized.
PgR technology uses a clear ink along with pigments for the best print quality. | Duplex Scanning and Copying The MX7600 features a built-in Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) that holds up to 35 sheets and enables automatic duplexing for copies and scans, leaving you free to work on other tasks while the printer does all the work. The scanner offers up to 4800 dpi resolution at a 48-bit color depth for scans that pick up even the most minute detail. And thanks to Canon's advanced copy technology, the MX7600 copies graphics and documents with faithful accuracy. High-Speed Fax The device can achieve Super G3 fax speeds (33.6 Kbps), which allows the fastest fax transfers, and it can fax both black-and-white and color pages. The device's built-in memory will store 100 coded speed dials and up to 250 incoming pages--features that are especially useful for long faxes or if you run out of paper. The Canon MX7600 All-In-One Printer is compatible with Windows (including Vista) and Macintosh operating systems. The printer measures 19.7 x 21.1 x 10.1-inches (WxHxD) and weighs 36.6 pounds. It is backed by a 1-year warranty. What's in the Box: Canon MX7600 printer, five cleaning sheets, document kit, ink tanks (PGI-7 and PGI-9), power cord, print head, telephone line cable.
The MX7600 provides printing, faxing, scanning, and copying all from one device. |

I want my old printer back February 2, 2010 L. Sterling (Chicago, IL) Replaced our old canon printer with a new canon, I miss my old printer, this is loud, makes noises well after the printing job is done, takes forever to warm up and there is no top feed paper option.
Canon MX7600 bad design January 7, 2010 J. Clement (il.) I've always been a Canon fan because of their great great printers but Canon missed the boat on this one. The print on plain paper is excellent due to the clear cartridge laying down a base coat. But I hate the fact that you can't use the rear feeder for plain paper feeding, and heavy stock won't go through the front cassette. You could use front or rear feeders on previous Canons I've owned. We were unable to print out our Christmas cards because they wouldn't go through the cassette. And if we ran them through the rear feeder we had to use the photo setting and the quality was terrible. After you print the feeder continues to run and run and run. It's constantly cleaning it's heads and using up ink. Very annoying!! Then the printing kept coming out with scued print. Also it's gigantic that takes up allot of desk space and weights 46 lbs. Technical support new less about the printer than I did. Canon offered to send me a reconditioned machine (not a new one) even thought it was only days old. Needless to say I sent it back even though I got it for Half of the list price.
Great features but hogs ink November 8, 2009 J. Mitchell (Colo Spgs, CO, USA) Having owned a 7600 for a year now my biggest complaint is that it goes through ink very rapidly and the heads get clogged very easyily, forcing you to use even more ink to do a cleaning about every-other print job if it sits for more than a couple days without printing. This has always been my biggest complaint about ink-jet printers which is why I also have a color laser printer for most of my color printing. I bought this primarily for faxing and scanning but even those features wont work if any of the ink cartridges are empty. A year later, after running all over town to 6 different stores of major office-supply chains I discovered sadly, that ink is only available online. Pretty annoying!

I would NEVER buy a canon printer again November 3, 2009 Russell Hendlin (Marin CA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is the worst printer I have ever owned.
Great color printing quality. But that's it on the positives.
Impossible user interface. Printing anything from the rear tray takes manual configuration which must be REDONE each time. This is NOT a user friendly office tool. Takes 2 minutes to print an envelope. Does not remember settings. Setup is confusing and often takes multiple tries to do simple tasks. My old HP just printed when I asked it to. This canon makes me work for everything but plain paper printing from the (tiny) default tray. Ink goes fast. Installation was painful. But mainly, even simple tasks on this printer become complex. My wife can hardly use it at all. Needlessly complex and difficult interface.
Takes forever to print first copy. If I could return it I would...
Great Printer September 1, 2009 George C. Price (Childress, TX United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love this printer. It is exactly what I needed. Great quality of print and fast. It is a lot quieter than the hp it replaced and the epson I have at home. I do wish it had more paper tray capacity. I compared this printer with comparable hp and epson printers. I am so glad I bought this printer. It is the best printer I have owned.
