This is great we use it all the time plus when you use other vehicles you can move it easily without put a mark on other the cars dash board We love it it does not slide around it stays where you put it. Works great if you rent cars when traveling.

I've had this item for a couple years & I like the fact that it's up closer than the windshield mount. I don't know if it gets slick on the bottom after a while or what but, no matter how slow I try to take a corner, I have to reach up & grab the GPS or it will slide to the other end of the dashboard. I wonder if there's a way to re-friction the bottom of it.

I have owned a Garmin Nuvi GPS for a year and a half was not happy with sticking it on the windshield glass. I was never where I could see it properly or comfortable. Then I searched and found this friction mount and have been extremely pleased with it. It sits my GPS down lower and within my field of vision. I don't have to look away from the road to reference it. I also don't have to worry that the suction will release and the GPS fall to the floor of my car. It is heavy enough that it sits tight and does not slide around. I highly recommend this mount for anyone who uses a GPS.

Aabsolutely love this ietm. Makes it so easy to take down and store when shopping. I like the fact that there are no marks on the windshield announcing something has been placed there.
