5 out of 5 stars Exceeded Expectations   November 28, 2009
Lewis D. Winningham (Denver, CO)
The GX-I is smaller than I thought it would be. It is lightweight and clips right on to my golf bag. Very easy to handle and use. No problem finding the pin, even standing free-hand. I am very pleased with this rangefinder and recommend it to everyone.

5 out of 5 stars Great product   November 24, 2009

This is one of the best rangefinders on the market. It amazes me how it can pick out the flag stick from a long distance very quickly. I looked at several rangefinders and I'm glad I picked the Leupold. I would recommend this product. Amazon shipped it very quickly. I am completely satisfied with all parts of this purchase.

5 out of 5 stars great little rangefinder   November 14, 2009
Dennis Walsh (Phoenix, AZ USA)
I purchased this to assist me in some of my officiating duties. It is compact and extremely easy to use. It is able to get the distance correct even when the flag is hugging the flagstick. There may be better rangefinders, I don't know. But this one does the job and the price is right.

5 out of 5 stars Great Product - better than a GPS   November 14, 2009
T. Kamis (Sterling, Va USA)
After using this range finder, I put my Skycaddie GPS back into the box. I find this range finder much more accurate and much easier to use than the GPS. You also don't have the problems of having to download courses and constantly charging the batteries of a GPS. Best of all, there are no yearly fees with a range finder!

If you get one, here are a few tips on use:
- When in a golf cart, I drive up to my ball and rest my arms against the steering wheel and "shoot" the target with the range finder. This technique works well if you don't have a steady hand.
-Aim for the flag, it is bigger than the pin. If someone is still on the green, you can also get a distance off of them.
-You don't have to take off your sunglasses to use it. You can easily read the distance by placing the viewfinder next to your glasses
-I sometimes "shoot" the fairway for distance; you can pretty much aim at anything to get distance.
-I find that the range finder stores nicely in the large cup holder of a golf cart.
-I will take multiple reading on a pin since I occasionally will hit a target behind the pin and get an incorrect reading.

3 out of 5 stars Returned   November 3, 2009

Received a defective unit. Tried it once. Could not get an accurate measurement. Exchanged the laser rangefinder for a GPS unit. Laser is more accurate but GPS is easier to use.
