Good Quality at a Great Price November 11, 2009

The quality and speed are good. The printer is very quiet. It is easy to set up and the duplex feature works great! Some other features like printing labels can take a little time to figure out. The price is great and I would definitely purchase this printer again if I needed another one.

At the current price, you are gambling that you will get a working product. If you don't like taking a risk, I would advise you look for another printer. This printer has not printed more than 1 or 2 pages without failing. Paper jams on EVERY use. Sure, this is likely one bad item out of many, but now I need to decide whether I want to spend my time wresting with the return policy and/or manufacturer. This may go in the trash today.
UPDATE 11/09/2009: Brother warranty service very quick. They are sending replacement plus a pre-paid air bill for sending back the old printer. Update will be provided if/when a working printer is received.
 I would recommend to anyone. Very nice printer November 1, 2009

I just bought two of these for my fraternity, and have had no problems with either. They are very easy to set up. It took about 10-15 minutes for each printer. For the price these printers are awesome. I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a good laser printer.

I needed a new printer for a small office setting. I did not want a all-in-one printer. I wasn't necessarily looking for a duplexing machine, but when I compared prices, this machine from Amazon.com stood out as a great deal. The print quality is terrific and the duplex feature is something I would now not want to be without. The only problem I have is with printing envelopes.

This printer was a great deal at one hundred forty bucks delivered. I ordered it thinking it also had a wireless interface, but it doesn't. At least it works with Macs and PCs on my home network, which the HP Laserjet P1006 it replaces DOESN'T! HP, you've lost me. This Brother is good and so is the 6490 Multifunction I bought -- also much better than the HP 5510 it replaced. Also a great deal at two hundred buck delivered from another online store. One drawback, the 5340d draws a LOT of current when it wakes up, so much that it makes my UPS beep.
