Trips to the hair stylist can really add up. This 24-piece home haircutting kit from Wahl gives the whole family professional-looking haircuts for a fraction of the cost. The powerful clippers are useful for giving crew cuts and maintaining shorter haircuts. The clippers have a high-speed PowerDrive motor, which gives a smoother cut on thick hair. However, for the extent of its power, the motor is fairly quiet and lightweight. A comfortable grip makes the clippers easy to hold for a long period of time and a "Dura Chrome" finish gives them that retro-barber-shop look. The clippers' high-carbon steel blades are permanently aligned so you never need to adjust them, and are detachable for thorough cleaning. The clippers come with 10 adjustable guide combs and a sliding thumb-operated switch on the clippers lets you easily adjust the combs to the proper height. Besides the clippers and guide combs, other accessories in the kit include a barber comb; small flattop comb; pocket comb; barber scissors for trimming bangs or stray hairs; two hair clips; a cape; neck duster; instructional video; and a blade guard, a cleaning brush, and extra oil for the electric clippers.  Great product, but buy vacuum cleaner attachment as well September 27, 2009

Have been using one of these for years without a problem. Used to pay up to $25.00 for a generic haircut, not to mention the hassle of finding a barber shop that was open when I had time for a cut. Now, my wife cuts my hair at home, any time of the day or night, in 10 or 15 minutes, and it turns out great every time. We do the simple No. 3 guard, same length all over, and I'm very happy with it. Having said all this, the home haircuts were initially a little more of a hassle due to the hair trimmings making a mess until we discovered the essential accessory: the Wahl vacuum cleaner attachment for the trimmer. Now, we don't use a cape or even a sheet on the floor. The vacuum attachment, in conjunction with your vacuum cleaner (we use an Oreck XL), sucks up all the hair as it is cut and there's not a speck on your clothing, floor, or carpet. Things in life are generally imperfect, but I can't think of a single bad thing to say about this product. It will save you thousands of dollars and weeks of wasted time before it wears out and after about seven years of problem-free use I'm not sure when that will be.

I bought this movie so I can watch it along with my family, they don't speak English, so I ended up saving it for my personal DVD collection of not subtitled movies.

I bought this to replace a Conair clipper. I shave my head once every other week, and just need a basic clipper that does the job.
My problem is this: when I use the slider to adjust the trimmer height to the closest cut the blades bind and do not move freely anymore. This means that I cant get a close cut. I oil the blades after each use so this is not the problem.
Additionally, after having this clipper for only about 6 months I find that it bogs down on some patches of hair. considering that this is only a week or two of growth this is not acceptable.

Great product at a very economical price. Nice kit with functional attachments. I would purchase again but it seems that the materials are a significant upgrade from the clippers that we replace. My wife cust the Grandkids hair. It has already paid for itself. I am tempted to let my wife cut my hair but she just says she doesn't want to cut it. Professional quality.

My wife decided to help me cut the haircutting costs..now I have a Peyton Manning type of haircut which is not hard to achieve and i used to pay 15-20 $ for every haircut I had..my wife really likes me clean and short "haired" and she decided to pitch in to "cutting the family costs"..so she learnt how to cut MY hair..which is kinda simple..this review is done 1 year later, we used it around 12 times(once a month) and we had no trouble with it.It is sturdy and solid, yes it is not light but you can't have it all for 26$..overall it saved us lots of money and time.Amazon delivery was as better than promised(check out page mentioned 5-7 days, i got it in 4 at a US address)
