Forearms like Popeye November 3, 2009 Dennis M. Southwood Well, not quite like Popeye, but once I got my Powerball started, I was able to see definite progress in toning my arms. (I'm 67 years old and I need toning.)
The only problem I had was getting it started. At first I just couldn't keep it spinning. That was solved when a younger, more dexterous friend came over, got it going, and handed it off to me at an already high RPM. Then I had enough time to find the right motion and spin it up myself.
Be sure when you use the pull string to pull it straight out from the ball. If there's too much of an angle the tip can get trapped between the ball and case and pull the plastic wrapping off the tip of the string. Do that twice and the string is useless.
ARM PUMP MIRACLE October 29, 2009 Matt (Eastern Shore, MD) I race motocross and have yet to find a better workout for my forearms. Anyone who rides knows that arm pump is the devil, and the only way to reduce it is to build resistance to it by increasing the endurance and strength of your forearms and hands. The best way to do this is just to get more seat time, but when you can't be on the track, the Powerball will give you that workout in seconds.
Dynaflex Powerball Orange June 14, 2009 Tuan Do Due to time constraint, I haven't been able to use this product to see if it is effective to improve my Tennis elbow or not. However, here are what my thought so far:
Pros:
- Proud to be Made in USA, now a day it's really a rarity.
- Superior Quality workmanship in comparison to the crappy one made in China that doesn't work at all or broke after a short period of time.
- It could strengthen the forearm. My forearm getting tired after 5 min of exercise with normal rotation.
Cons:
- A bit noisy. I wonder if it is possibly to lubricate the mechanism or not.
- Wish the device can be started easier without the string.
Dyna Flex fun May 31, 2009 Sherri L. Ward Amazing fun and a great work out each person in my family has one now and we all enjoy the fun and the benefits of the workout.
A Gift for a Tennis Player May 18, 2009 S. J. BAILYGOULD (MA, USA) I haven't used it personally. I bought it for my dad who is 80 and still plays tennis--hard--on weekends. I thought it might be useful for him. He said it really gets spinning and it does exercise his hand and wrist. I think he likes it. The stars should say four, but it won't let me edit them.
