 Yogitoes Big Skidless used with Manduka black mat pro October 13, 2009

First of all you must wash this several times SEPARATELY before putting it in the wash with your other clothes. The tag says to do so, but the colors were still bleeding after 3 washings.
I just measured my towel and it is 79", which is 6 inches shorter than my Manduka Black Mat Pro 85" mat. I learned if you don't want to slip off the end of you mat you need to make sure your towel hangs off the back of your mat. The Manduka is very slippery when soaked with sweat, but grippy when dry. The Yogitoes is the exact opposite, slippery when dry and grippy when wet. So you may need to put a few drops of water on your Yogitoes towel where your hands and feet go in down dog before you start your practice so you don't slip off your mat.
I am a very sweaty 6'3" male who does power yoga for 1.5-2 hrs 3-4 days a week. I've learned that I must immediately hang dry my towel in the sun or put it in the wash after a class. I was busy a couple of times after class and didn't wash it till later in the day and my towel developed a moldy type smell that was hard to get rid of, even after repeated washing in warm water. If you don't sweat that much you might not have that problem.
If you sweat as much as I do you could find that the yogitoes towel will become super saturated where you put your hands. Once your towel gets that wet it might move around a bit in down dog, or in lunge positions. For me that is usually toward the end of a class, but it could be a problem for you too if you sweat excessively like me. This is one of the reasons I wouldn't give a 5 star rating.
All that said I would recommend this product if you get sweaty during yoga and are sick of using a beach towel. I purchased the Indigo because it was a less expensive color.

i love this yoga towel, i have used yogitoes in the passed, i tried this longer version. it is great, it covers my entire mat, i practice in a yoga studio of 101 and i need my entire mat covered. if you take hot yoga or use the shorter style of this towel, i would definitly try this longer one, i never use my shorter one!!

I love this mat and find it doesn't slip during yoga class. It is much better than a towel. My only issue is that it is advertised as 80", but is really 77.5". I did wash and dry it on low temperatures as per the instructions and it may have experienced quite a bit of shrinkage. Yet since I am tall (5' 11"), it is a treat to finally have my entire head to toe body on the mat. I would recommend this if you need the extra length, just know that it won't completely cover your 80" mat.

I have used this towel in a Bikram yoga class & it didn't move, bunch up or get slippery at all. I sweat a lot without having to be in a heated room being a big guy. I am not your usual yogi. I use this towel over my yoga mat when doing Ashtanga yoga and Love it! It prevents me from slipping and sliding in every pose, especially downward dog. The towel is thin and light. Easy to carry around. Easy to dry and easy to clean. The best thing about having this towel is that it preserves the life of your yoga mat! Having this towel on top of your mat will make it last forever. My last mat looks like Wolverine from the X-men got a hold of it,lol. But now that I have the Yogitoes towel on top of my new mat it still looks brand new, after all the abuse I put it through. I would buy another one in a heart beat!

I bought one and loved it so much I bought four more. Sticks to the mat, doesn't get soggy even in a super vigorous class, and keeps the mat so much cleaner. The only thing I don't like about it is that there aren't more colours available.
