4 out of 5 stars HEADBAND MAGNIFIER AT A GREAT PRICE   November 27, 2009
R. Petocz (Houston, TX USA)
Outstanding magnifier with options to increase or decrease the magnification three different ways! I have seen this exact magnifier on the web for over $35. or $40. dollars! But I got mine at a great deal and it is everything they said it would be. I use it for a number of applications but mainly to clean the sensor on my D2X. The LED lights work great and put the light where I need it. The only flaw is the way the hinges are made. When I lift the hinged section up over my head, it doesn't stay there long. They need to make a little detent device or locking system to fix that but it's hardly a bother. I simply remove them when I need to or I look 'under' the magnifier the way I look 'over' my reading glasses when I want to see something in the distance. Great device at a great price!

4 out of 5 stars does the work   September 14, 2009

bought to help me with eyebrow and detailed waxing for my hair removal business. Can see hair clearly to be removed, even better with the lights. The only thing is it doesn't always stay put on my head.

3 out of 5 stars Not much magnification.   July 5, 2009

As per my title, I expected a bit more magnification than this provides. Otherwise, ok.

3 out of 5 stars It has issues...   July 3, 2009
M. Lunsford (North Carolina, USA)
This is obviously not a professional quality magnifier. It's OK for hobby work, I suppose, but now that I've bought it I wish I had spent just a little more for a better one. The biggest problem I have is that the pivot points on the headband don't have much friction, so the magnifier won't stay up when I push it up. And when I'm actually looking through it, the magnifier wants to drop down onto my nose. My nose is the only thing that holds it up sometimes, and that's just awkward.

The magnifiers themselves are mediocre. They have plastic lenses (I wasn't expecting glass for $7.50) and the image is OK, but it's not as crisp as I'd like it to be. Especially through the loupe. I have no problem with the loupe friction, as another reviewer did, but that's probably just a matter of time. Even though I just spent $7.50 on this, I think I'm going to go ahead and buy a better one.

4 out of 5 stars Positive   June 1, 2009

I like the magnifier a lot, but I have not had the opportunity to use it yet. I'm a painter and it will be a great way for me to enhance the detail of my work.
