Checked many products online and in stores but felt Panasonic was a better choice.

This is a great shaver for the money. I would recomend it to my friends. It takes about 6 shaves for the head and cutters to wear in for maximum sharpness.

Although this has some positives (e.g. its LCD display & pop up trimmer), the main point of an electric shaver is to provide a smooth shave quickly. This fails on both points. To get a smooth finish, I have to go over spots two or three times! Having to go over a spot more than once wastes time. Sorry Panasonic this is not a good product!

I've been using a triple rotating head Norelco electric razor for years and, while I liked the convenience, it never really shaved very close. Frequently I ended up shaving twice a day and never felt that "razor blade smooth" feel. When contemplating whether to purchase a new shaver head or a new electric shaver I opted for the latter based on the reviews I read.
I have had my new Panasonic electric razor for 3 weeks now and regret not having purchased it years ago. This is an excellent product and I hope it will serve me well for years to come.

This is my first experience with an electric shaver in 30 years so I can't make comparisons with other shavers and their relative quality, quietness, or closeness of shave. What I can comment on is the wet/dry versatility of the shaver. I haven't tried shaving under water yet but to be able to achieve a good shave in the shower or out, with bar soap, liquid hand soap, shaving gel, cream, or nothing is a simple joy for me and provides me with a real option to my hand shaver. It may even become my preferred way to go. I have been pleasantly surprised.
