Product Description The Polar® F6 is the optimal choice for group exercisers. Coded transmission prevents crosstalk with other monitors so you'll get a personalized workout, even in a class environment. It includes all the features of the F4, plus guidance with OwnZone® to automatically establish your personal target heart rate zones and feedback with OwnCal® to track your calories and % of fat burned.
Amazon.com Product Description The Polar F6 heart rate monitor is a great choice for using in large groups where other exercisers might be using wireless training gear that could interfere with your own signal. The F6's coded transmission prevents crosstalk with other monitors so you'll get a personalized workout--even in a class environment. It's packed with innovative training features to help you toward your exercise goals, including: - Zone Pointer: A visible and audible feature on the display of your heart rate monitor showing your target heart rate zone and where your current heart rate is within that zone.
- Polar OwnCal: This feature shows your energy expenditure during one exercise session as well as your accumulated kilocalories during several exercise sessions. You can set daily and weekly exercise goals in terms of calorie expenditure with the OwnCal feature. Because the OwnCal tracks both the energy expenditure during one exercise session and the accumulated kilocalories during a longer time e.g. one week, it helps in achieving both short term and long term goals.
- Polar OwnZone: This feature guides you through an appropriate warm-up routine and automatically determines a safe and effective exercise heart rate zone--your OwnZone--while taking into account your current physical condition.
- Polar OwnCode: This technology blocks unwanted signals from other heart rate monitors, ensuring disturbance-free transmission of your heart rate data.
The Fitness Bullets feature shows a bullet on the monitor's display for every 10 minutes spent exercising/training in your target heart rate zone. The Time in Target Zone feature calculates the amount of total exercise time spent in your personal target zone. You can use this feature together with the Total Exercise Time to determine the effectiveness of your exercise program. You can also better assess your training data using the included Polar Precision Performance (PPP) 4.0 software and the SonicLink feature, which wirelessly uploads exercise settings to the software or to Polar's web service. Other features include: - Display of heart rate, exercise time and average heart rate
- 24-hour clock with day/week indicator and stopwatch
- Large easy-to-read display with split screen
- One-year average battery life
- Water resistant to 30 meters (100 feet)

Not bad for the price November 25, 2009 N. Tang 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The women's Polar F6 heart rate montior watch has become one of my favorite geek toys. I enjoy the ability to not only monitor my heartrate, but to see how many calories I've burned and the duration of my workout. The only complaint I have is the chest band - its comfortable enough, but the "hooking" mechanism where the elastic band meets the chest band seem to pop off quite easily - especially during high intensity aerobic type classes where I'm moving around a lot. And once that band comes off, you have to reset your workout session - quite annoying. But I found that if I tuck the whole band under my sports bra it tends to stay in place.
Perfect! November 19, 2009 J. Small (New England) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I spent a lot of time reading reviews and learing about HRM's before I made my purchase. What I was looking for was something dependable, accurate, easy to use, stylish and affordable.
The F6 fit all of my needs and then some. I have been using it now for about a month and I could not be happier with my purchase.
I was initially concerned about having to wear a HR strap but it is comfortable and I don't even realize that it is on. I love that it communicates my HR to the cardio equipment too that way I can see what zone I am working in without having to check the watch.
This HR is so simple to use I think anyone can do it! I also love that you get a weekly report on your workouts.
A+
Great Product & Service November 16, 2009 Dara I ordered the product above and was surprised when I received it one to two days after the order was placed. They ship very quickly. Unfortunately, the watch had a damaged screen. The company was great and let me exchange the watch. Within a few days, the next watch was waiting for me at home when I got home from work. Again, I was surprised with how quickly they took care of my claim & shipped it out to me. This one worked great! My sis-in-law loves it and uses it every time she works out!
Great for monitoring heart rate during aerobic workout November 16, 2009 Shelby J. Vautherine (Houston, Texas) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This watch is exactly what I was looking for. It helps me get the most out of my workout. I primarily use it during the cycling classes at the gym to maintain my heart rate in the fat burning zone to maximize my workout. I haven't had any problems with it so far. I understand the battery replacement in the chest strap must be made by the manufacturer, which will be a pain being without it until it is returned to me. I had a great experience buying it from Bodybasics.
Nice monitor, too bad the watch strap is near impossible to take off November 11, 2009 Nina Totem (chicago, il) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Purchased this in November 2009 and overall, it's one of the better looking Polar heart rate monitors and it functions well enough. My issue is that it's owing to peculiar design issues, the women's version is extremely difficult to remove unless you have long finger nails with which to unhinge the watch strap. Sooner or later, I fear the watch strap is going to snap and break from repeated plying of the watch strap.
I have owned several Polar watches before this and have never experienced this issue. Hopefully, the factory in China where it was made will take notice and designers will fix this issue.
