This natural oral dietary supplement comes in a soft gel capsule form. Cystoprotek is made with anti-inflammatory properties glucosamine, quercetin and rutin to help reduce bladder damage and pain, and glucosamine sulfate, chondroitin sulfate and hyaluronate sodium help replenish the damaged glycosaminoglycan (GAG) protective layer in the bladder. Chondroitin sulfate is one of the main components of cartilage and muscosa layers, forming the connecive tissue that holds muscles, nerves, and blood vessels together. Sodium hyaluronate is another component of protective tissue, including the GAG layer of the bladder, and is essential in the rebuilding process. Extracted from the saphora plant, rutin is a non-acidic natural flavonoid that adds additional anti-inflammatory qualities and liberated quercetin in the intestine, making absorption easier. CystoProtek is not a cure for IC. At this time, there is no known cure for the condition. Additionally, it is important to understand that CystoProtek is not an analgesic. It may take three to four months to offer a relief of symptoms. In clinical study Cystoprotek was well tolerated by patients ingesting 4-6 softgel capsules per day for 4-6 months.

I wish this product were available 20 years ago. I have been prescribed countless antibiotics over the past 20-25 years for what my urologist said were recurrent UTI's. I since have found another urologist who specializes in women's urological issues. He prescribed Alaven Pharmaceuticals Cystoprotek Soft Gel Capsules, 120-Count Bottle. I started on one capsule daily since April 2009, then increased to two capsules daily in August 2009. My "UTI" symptoms gradually have disappeared. I am using this product and a mild antihistimine at bedtime. Ladies who are diagnosed with recurrent UTI's PLEASE seek a second opinion or insist on a cystoscopy to determine if you have a condition called Interstitial Cystitis (ulcers on the bladder lining) rather than actual urinary tract infections. The antibiotics do NOTHING for IC and are not good for you to be taking over and over again. I am 47 years old and received this diagnosis in April 2009 after suffering needlessly for years. It is all about finding the right doctor. Also, PLEASE do not let your doctor tell you there is nothing that can be done for Interstitial Cystitis. That is not true. I am proof! AND! You do not be led to believe that the only way to treat IC is through medication with unsettling side effects. This product has certainly helped me, and I hope you it will help you!

I was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis 3 years ago. It was after a hysterectomy and I had been catheterized during the surgery. The pain went on for several months. I went to a urologist and they did a surgical treatment which helped but also wanted to put me on a medication that had really bad side effects. Some of the side effects of the doctors meds was extreme tiredness and that my hair would probably fall out. I was not ready for that. I found this product and decided to try it. In just a few days, I felt relief. If I skip taking this product a couple of days, I notice that I will start to have some flair ups with my bladder. If I take it regularly, I feel really good. It has not caused me any side effects. I would highly recommend this product.

Sudden, post-hysterectomy onset of IC. I had no clue what it was. Figured that out and started taking Cystoprotek, Prelief and an aloe supplement. The combo works extremely well. I have started to conclude though that the Cystoprotek is the main ingredient to my solution because the few times I've run out of it... oy... the pain. When I've got it in my system again I can forget all about the IC - even drinking my morning tea.

I suffered for 25 years with interstitial cystitis, had surgeries and took elmiron which made my hair fall out. I tried meditation, yoga, biofeedback, birth control pills, hormones, anti depressants. Nothing helped. I developed insomnia, depression, and felt almost suicidal. Then I tried cystoprotek and within TWO DAYS I felt like a different person. I cry every time I think about the blessing I recieved from cystoprotek. I've been taking it for 3 months and I can be a good mom to my sweet 4 year old daughter now thanks to this product. If you have bladder pain PLEASE TRY THIS!!!!!!!!!!
