5 out of 5 stars Very Accurate   November 19, 2009

This is my test of preferance because the result is non mistaking. When you are not pregnant or dont have enough Hcg yet to get a positive result you will not get a second line or any color at all. The area where the second line would be will be totally white. No shadow lines to make you squint or left feeling unsure of the result. If you see a second pink line even very faint than take it from me it is no doubt a positive. This test usually gives a faint positive line especially early on. But no doubt, if there is a second pink colored line no matter now faint or dark its positive. Also this test does not get evaporation lines at all. I had negative tests I kept for several weeks and even after that long they did not get evaporation lines or fade out at all. The result never changed in any way like how many tests do after only several hours. If you know these hints about this test than you can be very confident in the results. This is my test of choice and I have tried almost every brand.

3 out of 5 stars It's alright.   October 5, 2009

When we were trying for our first child, I took this test on a Monday, expecting my period 5 days later on Saturday, it was negative. I took it again on Friday and I had a very faint line, I didn't know what to think, had to have my husband look at it later just to make sure I wasn't crazy. After we decided we weren't seeing things and there really was a line, we didn't know if it meant positive or not. I didn't have any more tests right then, so the next morning I tested with a storebrand test and got a strong positive. I don't like how it gave me a faint line the day before I was supposed to have my period, it should have been a darker line. One thing I like is that +/- pregnancy tests tend to fade, while the First Response didn't. It has been over 3 years and you can still see the line. Bottom line, with our second child I used a storebrand test, because I didn't want to deal with faint lines or the higher prices. I now buy the very cheap tests, because if you are pregnant, it will work.

3 out of 5 stars Do you see that line or is it just me?   July 29, 2009

On the day before my period was due I tried this test to see if I pregnant. It came back negative. I left the test on the counter to deal with my other kids and came back to throw it away and there was a VERY light pink line. But since it was 10 minutes or more I just through it out. The next day (day of my expected period) I took it and again got a VERY VERY light pink line but only AFTER the time for the test had passed (over 10 minutes). I decided to test with a Clear Blue Digital AND a first response with the SAME urine (from a cup). I did one test then the other and waited. Again a very very very very very light pink line showed up on the First Response test (this time in the amount of time it said it should) but it was still very unclear because the line was so light I thought it might be my imagination. I did the Clear Blue Easy Digital (same pee, same cup) and it came back an unmistakable PREGNANT. Very clear! Waited a few days and took them both again (it's the scientist in me) and First Response was still very light pink but clearly there now. Clear Blue Easy Digital still a pregnant and still easier to read! :)

I always thought digital tests were for people who couldn't understand simple things like reading a pregnancy test. After using the First Response Test I now know why people would opt for a digital test. Plus you can get 5 digital Clear Blue Easy tests at most Wal-marts for [...] bucks and 3 of these First Response Tests are 18!! Go with the digital and save yourself the guess work of this test.

This is my forth child and I have never used this test and gotten a CLEAR positive result. EPT I did, Clear Blue Easy digital AND non-digital I did. Go with a different test. ANY TEST! Just a different one!

5 out of 5 stars I will use it again for the next one   July 27, 2009

I have used it twice. Both times i only needed one test. It gave me my positive with in mins. I used it 3 days and 4 days before both. I saw my doc and got a blood test done. The blood test came back positive also. So i would recommend it to any woman.

good, but too bad I wasted the majority of them. Can't say much about the product until I get the results I'm looking for.
