The Andis UltraEdge AGC 2-Speed Clipper runs at up to 4,400 strokes per minute due to it¿s heavy duty, high speed motor. The unit is equipped with a 4 x 4 blade drive for 25% more blade torque. The AGC 2-Speed Clipper is the ultimate grooming tool with it¿s power, control, and versatility. The unit features a 14¿ cord. The unit also features a locking switch button so the unit cannot accidently turn off will being used. The clipper is maintenance free, with no oiling or greasing of internal parts required. The break resistant housing can resist harsh chemicals and day to day use. The clipper comes equipped with an UltraEdge #10 blade and works will all Andis UltraEdge and CeramicEdge blades. The blades are also compatible with most detachable-type clippers and the Oster Model A-5. Very Good Clippers September 7, 2009

This is the first animal clippers I have purchased. Purchased these because of the good reviews. I really like these clippers. I have trimmed shorter coat dogs and long coat dogs and they work great. They do not drag, they are very quiet, they have very little vibration, and clip right through the thick coats. I use the 7F blade on most of my dogs and it takes very little time to clip them. I chose not to purchase clippers based cheaper ones, but instead decided to choose what would do a really good job and last a longer time. I'm very happy with the purchase of the Andis 22405 UltraEdge Clippers.

The clippers are exactly what was promised. They are quiet and cut extremely well. The blades did not heat up. I used them on my Chow Chow, and they easily cut through her very thick underfur.

This is a great clipper - it has 2 speeds although I never use low, the 4x4 blade drive seems to add lots of power so it goes through undercoat like butter! It doesn't heat up like so many do, so you don't have to waste time waiting for your blade to cool. Seems much quieter than my last Andis. Mine came with an UltraEdge blade which I'd never tried before, but I'm very impressed so far. The cord is like 20 feet long, so I can get all the way around the table without negotiating the cord. I'm thinking of getting another, as a backup, because if anything happens to this one I do NOT want to have to use my old one again! You must push the red button to move the switch (on/off/speed). If your thumb isn't right on the red button, it will not change - which is good I suppose because my old one would turn off mid-shave, giving me a heart attack each and every time...

i love it. i use it on my schnauzer and my moms cocker who has an extremely thick coat. i just picked up the large comb set but have not used them yet. very quiet which is nice for around face and ears.

This is the first clipper I've ever purchased. I didn't want to fool around and get a cheap one, so I just cut to the reviews and paid the price hoping for a first time succuss. These clippers are great! I have a poodle mix and a mini schnauzer that I pay nearly $70 for the 2 of them to be groomed...so these paid for themselves in less than 2 groomings! they cut great and are quieter then I expected the dogs didn't seem to mind them at all, but they are already trained from going to the groomer their whole lives! The poodle was pretty matted, she lives a dogs life of getting dirty and wet outside so I scissor cut her quite a bit first and her feet were tricky. I ended up taking her to her groomer once more to get a good baseline, and then we were back on track. The clippers do get hot after awhile, but it takes me a long time and I figure if they are getting hot I've been at it too long... the dogs are probably ready for a break anyway! Great clippers, good price from Amazon and would reccomend them to anyone.
