ITS AWESOME!!!!!!! November 24, 2009 C. Jordon (Kansas) Awesome product! I was fed up with waist pedometers that would say I only took 200 steps when I had just walked 3 miles. Thankfully I found this item which Im so in Love with. It took me a couple of times of reading over the manual to understand how this item works but I am so happy that its accurate and easy to understand. I noticed that all of the negative reviews are things that are easily correctable if you read the manual. Its not a easy watch to set up but once you read the manual and follow the instructions its a awesome watch which offers a lot of different features. I can not stress this enough if you are considering buying this watch make sure you take time to read the manual, its not the type of watch you put on and its ready to go. It takes a good amount of time to get this watch to be accurate. I would definitely recommend this item to everyone who is wanting something more accurate then a waist pedometer.
Gets the job done for the price November 11, 2009 Cultural Groupie (Bermuda) I bought this watch because my Nike+ iPod thing broke, and I'm waiting for Garmin to come out with a new version of their GPS watch (I live in a really humid climate and a lot of my friends have complained that the moisture screws up the screens..didn't want to spend that much on it if it was defective). The Tech 4.0 Accelerator does basically what I wanted which is to track time & distance. I've worn it in pouring rain and stifling humidity, and the face is readable & the measurements reliable. Also I have tiny wrists, and it fits fine, the face is the perfect size, and the band tightens enough to be secure. This was another big concern I had with other running watches. My biggest complaint is that you can't lock the face, so I'm always getting it out of my bag to find it tracking a workout that I'm not doing because of buttons getting pressed accidentally. It's also a challenge to figure out how to work, and there's a million features (like laps, chronometer, calories..) that I'm not using. Also I can't figure out how to switch the distance feature from miles to kilometers, so I'm always having to convert. I haven't had any problems with the band turning colors like other reviewers, so it still looks cute/pink to me.
Overall--better & more reliable than the Nike+ iPod system, but hard to initially figure out. If you take some time & learn how to use it, it works well. You definitely can't just put it on your wrist & go for a run. It's a $50 watch, so if you accept that it's not going to be the greatest thing ever, I think you'll be pleased with it.
Great watch September 20, 2009 Margaret A. Manuel It's a great watch it is pretty accurate for the price. If you take the time to callebrate it correctly it can be 95+% accurate. The best way is to go on the track and callebrate your steps or running stride there.
Love this watch! September 4, 2009 H. Greenfield (Dallas, TX) I have had my pedometer watch for a few months now and I love it! It seems to be pretty accurate even on longer runs (12 miles). It is cute and not too big and has held up well even when wearing 5+ days a week.
Tech 4 watch July 24, 2009 Susie (Illinois) The watch is hard to figure out at first but I did call the customer service desk and they were able to help me work it... The lady was very helpful and knew exactly what she was talking about it. The distance is a little off, but it still gives me an idea of how far I ran. It's not a 100% accurate so it's suppose to be a little off. I like this watch and am glad I bought it.
