Works good for me November 1, 2009 hrndnwmn (Herndon, Virginia, USA) I used the shoe stretcher carefully, having been warned by other reviews that it requires some care. I stretched a few shoes out and made them more comfortable. Worth my money, I recommend them.
Worthless product September 18, 2009 T. Mason (Memphis,TN) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This product is worthless, after trying to use the product one time it broke; and after i tried to send back for exchange the company told me it was too late because you only have ten days to return and your ten days start when the product is shipped to you. It would have cost me more to ship back express than i originally paid for them. Worthless, Worthless, Worthless
Not the best construction September 16, 2009 Joshua Rivera (miami, fl) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Shipping on this item was awesome, we got it the never next day after placing our order, with standard shipping rates. The wood feels pretty solid, although it does have a lot of plastic parts keeping it together. Since this device is meant to stretch out your shoes, the pressure that this device needs to consistently maintain is hindered by its plastic innerworkings. One of the two arrived damaged. It seems at had already been used, or defective, as the inside was destroyed and would not expand. I called the support center and they shipped a replacement right away, at no additional charge and instructed me to throw away the defective one. Which is nice to not have to worry about dealing with RMA or additional shipping issues. This probably means that they see this issue quite often, or they are just real nice.
All in all, for the price its not bad. If you only need these for 1 pair of shoes, of temporarily its fine. But if you expect to use these for a long time, i recommend spending the extra cash and get something a bit more solid.
Pros and Cons... July 8, 2009 sailman2 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Arrived timely. Others have said they worried about stipping the threads. MIne worked fine except for the round plastic washer is inadequate and bent, almost breaking under pressure. I plan to take it off and look at hardware store for a metal replacement. Otherwise works fine for me.
Why skimp for plastic! May 13, 2009 A.D.G. (Sierra Vista AZ USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The plastic pieces of these stretchers should be made of metal. To stretch a shoe, you have to apply force right?? well the force on the plastic pieces DO NOT hod up. I only got to do one pair of shoes. :/ I love that the product was made of wood, but the plastic washers take it down in value big time.
